Episode 9 – 09 – New characters

Ira – Is a shaman's apprentice, while also tends to allow her love for Tito to interfere with her studies.

Uncle Gianna – Is the Leader the town guard, as well as Ira's grandfather. He is particularly hard-headed.

Tito – is a traveling merchant, that sells books. While also working in a print shop in town.

Episode 9 – 09 – Summary 

The one important thing to notice with this episode is the change in the art style which is gets an explanation at the end of the story. Most of the story is through Ira's point of view. In the end, not much of Hugh and Dalian until the end. When Ira get to the town she see that her Uncle Gianna isn't happy about something, and wants to see the shaman. However when Ira get home with her uncle, her grandmother isn't happy to see him because there seems to be some rule about not bringing weapons to this holy place. Although Gianna requests that she make some poisonous arrows, at first she declines the request because she thinks that Gianna wants these to make war. The Shaman's mood quickly changes once she hears about these man eating bugs that nothing seems to kill.

Later when they are making this poison she has Ira go out and pick this plant that grows on these vines. However when she out, Ira end up meeting Hugh and Dalian. Then as Dalian comments on the plant that she is picking, which when Dalian finds out that it is going to use to kill these bugs. She warns Ira that it is useless, and if she finds herself face with these bugs to run away. Once she returns to her grandmothers place and gives her the plant, she quickly head to town to see if Tito has arrived yet.

However, upon her arrival she finds the town is burning, and later she finds that she can't seem to find anyone as she head toward Tito shop. When she arrives, Ira finds that one of these bug is in her path but when she use the charm that her grandmother gave her. Ira first thinks that it works but later see that the bug is not effected at all. In the end she is save by Dalian and Hugh. Although when they find out some of the bug escaped, they believe that they head to where the villagers are. When they find that the bugs are attacking her too, it is reveled that they are accusal inside a book and these insects are in reality book worms. They very thing that Dalian was trying to to do was save the books from inside the books.
