Juuou Mujin no Fafnir - ep12

The rematch between Yuu and Kiri is short and sweet. It also gives us a bit a perspective into how Kiri see the actions of Yuu and the others. That she believe there isn't only two choice, that even though choosing to become a dragon isn't favorable but it still more favorable than death. However to Yuu what is important is choice that if you choose to live as a human than you should see that through to the end. This also leads to Yuu choosing what Kiri is sense she could never decide which she was. That with Yuu almost killing her but choosing not to gives him his answer. That Kiri is human and with that she leaves for now.

Then once tear is safe once more Yuu explains who Honoka really was, and Kiri's believe that the Basilisk could see the future. This leads to Mistuki forming a flexible plan to deal with the Basilisk. That in the end they use this bomb as more of a shield than a weapon. This allows them the exhaust the Basilisk while at the same time getting close enough to finish it off. Then with this all that remains is for them to return to the island. Things end with Yuu telling Iris about his memory loss, and with that Iris promise Yuu that if he forgets them she will remember for him. Then with that they return to their everyday life, and things end with the beginning chapter to this story concluding with it feeling that there is more to come, since not a lot of the other characters have been explored so this isn't the end by a long shot.

Aldnoah Zero - ep24

In the end the finale was a co-pout considering what they could have done. That Slaine could have still achieve his dream with Lemrine but it would lead to him having to claim the real Asseylum was a fake. However he couldn't keep the lie going since everything he was doing was for Asseylum's sake so in declaring a retreat he conforms with Asseylum's wishes and ends the war. Although things don't go as plan since some still want to go down fighting even knowing that fighting anymore is point less. Which ultimately leads to the final showdown with Inaho and Slaine, which turns out to be a straight out brawl rather than detail strategic moves Inaho is known for. That with both of them losing the predictive capabilities it comes down to more of the talent of the pilot. Things end with Inaho defeating Slaine but in the end he only saves him because it was a request from Asseylum. That with this the rest of the fighting concludes. Then with Asseylum as the new ruler of Vers it begins a new period of peace between Mars and Earth, in the end the question is will this peace last.

Juuou Mujin no Fafnir - ep11

Once again they delay the conclusion of the fight with the basilisk by running away instead of going on a counter offensive. That once again they are focusing on strategy rather than following through with their intent. Like with the past battles against the dragons everything went to hell but they charged through it and came out victorious. Now they have another strategy to force the Basilisk to uses his third eye because defeating the basilisk with the bomb seems like the best option. Although in going through with this plan it appears that it has created some problems. The key one being it has forced Kili to act.

That in doing so she revealed her self as being Honoka. That in a lot of ways this it was kind of obvious, since this explains how she infiltrated the base in the first place. It seems that her desire is maintain the survival as many of the D's as possible. That to her the best course of action is to bring Tear to the Basilisk since she believe that no-matter what they do they will not be able to win. It seems next time they will have to resolve thing with Kili because they can't have her interfering with the operation or trying to bring Tear to the Basilisk.

Aldnoah Zero - ep23

It appears that things are approaching the final conclusion with Asseylum escaping from Slaine. That with her escape it drives Slaine over the edge where he desire a final confrontation to end things once and for all. However through this the major focus is on Asseylum trying once again to find a peaceful resolution. This is made possible through Mazuurek joining up with Klancain's shuttle. This allow for her to see her father or more accurately see what he has become. That once Asseylum she see him in this pitiful state, it appears that she ended his suffering which also allows for her to take leadership of the empire. Which once she has it, she declares the end of hostilities. The question is that will anyone listen, and who will remain loyal to Slaine. That in the end her actions might have started Vers own civil war without truly resolving the current war. There is also the issue can earth forgiven all the damage that has been done to them, and can Asseylum even grantee the halt of her forces. The real question now is what will Slaine do since now he has to choose between his dream of unification or his love for Asseylum. That in the end he might be force to kill the very woman he swore to protect.

Juuou Mujin no Fafnir - ep10

Now it seem like they are just trying to draw thing out as long as possible since they do not attack Basilisk after the military fails. They instead create another plan to trap it by using Tear to draw it in and then have Tear leave the island to draw it's attention away from what they will be doing. That with it's attention diverted they intended to shoot it through the mountain. The rest of the episode focus's on the final preparations being made. Although you also have the fact that Honoka is acting suspicious in her actions towards Tear so it is possible that she is Kiri.

That there are further hints at this fact being that Fyril noticing the amount of Dark Matter that Honoka was feeding her during the operation. There is also the issue on how the Basilisk knew that they were going to shoot it through the mountain and why it was already prepared to counter them. Another interesting point is that each time it fires it's beam Tear condition seems to get worse so in the end even if they do defeat the Basilisk, they still might not be able to save Tear. The major question for next time is how are they going to delay thing for another episode or will they finally end the fight with the basilisk and if they do what will they use the few remaining episodes for.

Aldnoah Zero - ep22

Now with the Deucalion mission to the moon not all is as it appears, because it seems that the Earth government is using them as live bait so that they can invade the moon base to assassinate Asseylum. However Inaho and the captain are suspicious of this mission which leads them to having them enact their own infiltration mission. However all this happen at a bad time for Inaho since it appears that he is overusing his eye. The question is that will it end up killing him.

However because of this infiltration Inaho and Slaine have their second face to face meeting. Although I believe through this engagement Inaho could of kill Slaine but that would have been a lackluster conclusion to their conflict. Then after this clash Inaho reunites with Asseylum and we see the toll that this machine has put on Inaho as it appears to be slowly invading his mind. Since during the reunion with Asseylum the machine is doing the talk for Inaho. The interesting question is that since the machine is developing a personality of it's own while be dictated by Inaho's ambitions, the issue is in time will the two minds fuses into a single identity. That right now anything can still happen the only thing that is truly certain is the coming final clash between Inaho and Slaine.

Juuou Mujin no Fafnir - ep09

Although they have arrived on the island the battle isn't going to start immediately since it is going to take Basilisk three days to reach them which gives them a little time to relax before they have to do anything. Which turns this into the Onsen episode, and even more so to this point with Fyril using this opportunity to thank Yuu for his efforts in resolving the conflict between Lisa and Mitsuki. This is done by arranging for Yuu to being the hot springs at the same time that the rest of them are, without Yuu knowing what was going to happen before things went down. In the end Yuu is thankful for what Fyril was trying to do, but at least thing ended with them being unaware of what was going on or it would have been difficult for Yuu to work with them when it came time to dealing with the Basilisk.

Interestingly enough it Seem like the military is going try dealing with it first. Which means they are nothing but bait. Although there is a good reason for this since the Basilisk doesn't turn thing to stone it instead erodes time on the scale of thousands of years, which is fatal to anything that is living. However to deal with this they have designed a bomb out of Mithril which should be able to survive the power of Basilisk's erosion. In dropping the bomb things don't go as plan since that basilisk has a trump card that it plays. However it is better to find out about it now then during the battle with the basilisk. This also means that they will be more willing to kill Tear to prevent another one of these monsters from being born. This means they will need to focused not just on the threat of the Basilisk but from the people within the base as well. The question is how will the battle with the Basilisk go down.
