Ikoku Meiro no Croise - Ep2
Episode 2 – Summary
The key focus for this episode is how the two different cultures view food. The meal that they are having for breakfast is very classic by being just mostly coffee and bread. In the Japanese mindset this is very strange because for them the normal breakfast is grilled fish with rice and miso soup. In the end the two different culture view are opposite because west view if you are going to eat a big meal than it should be done when there is a lot of time. While the Japanese view that more should be eaten to get you through the day. The other import point that the focus in on is that the Japanese do not waste food because other wise you are being disrespectful to the person that prepared it.
Then later as Claude go out to see the city with Yune it leads us to the point that part of the series must focus on and that is getting back Yune's Kimono. It turns out that Oscar found out who ended up buying the Kimono and that is Blanche family. It turns out that the big department store that the Blache family built is in direct compition with the Gallery that Claude's family help build, so in other words the enemy bought Yune's Kimono. This is going to make matters a bit more complicated.
Then the story ends with that the french foods are so different from what Yune is not use to them. Even so she still says that she likes them, even though she really doesn't. Although Oscar does make it easiar for her to drink coffee by adding sugar, but there is nothing that he can do about the cheese. However in the end they do a funny scene with how Claude doesn't like the sour plumes from Japan.
