Episode 8 – Summary
This time it is focus on the concept of what the Japanese would call Okaishi, meaning that you are give back what you have been given. What this means is you do a favor for someone and then you do a favor for them in return, then the cycle begins again. This idea is expressed in various ways through out the episode. Like how Yune wish to repay Alice for her kindness of sending a doctor in her hour of need. Then repays for by telling her a fairytale from Japan. Then in return of this story Yune receive a story from Alice. Another example is how Camille is in a way telling Yune about her past with Claude, and trying to tell her how it might end. That ultimately the concept of Okaishi is another expression of how the Japanese view they are bonded to one another by the acts they do to honor what they have received.
