Brave 10 - Episode 01

Episode 01 – Characters

Isanami – She is the sole survivor of the Izumo shrine, also it appears that she has some strange power that she doesn't even know that she has. Another thing to point out is that her name is vary similar to the goddess in the Japanese creation myth. It wouldn't surprise me if they have her end of being the reincarnation of Izanami.

Kirigakure Saizou – He is the other real major character in this story. Also from the way he act, it like he has a great many secrets to hide. Like how he says that he is a samurai while in fact he is an Iga ninja. It also appears that he has some sort of connection with Isanami by how he is able to calm her down. There is also his unexplained hatred for feudal lords.

Sarutobi Sasuke – He is a Koga Ninja, and this is what leads to the conflict between him and Saizou because in Japanese his the Koga and Iga ninja's have a long standing rivalery. It also seems that for some reason the koga ninja's under his command are surving Sanada Yukimura.

Sanada Yukimura – His is Lord of Ueda Castle, it also appears that he is renown for his intelligence and integrity. Also it seem that he is seeking to draw ten great warrior to his side to equal his equal great fingers, before he can go to war.

Rokurou – He is a mysterious figure that is helping Yukimura in his ambition. Although it appears that it will be awhile before we learn more about him.

Episode 01 – Summary

This series is set in Sengoku Jidai more commonly know as the era of warring states. Things get started off with a woman being pursued, by some ninja. Although as we change scene to a man sleeping in the forest which is awaken by some sound in the distance. He gets up to investigate it which it turns out to be a panicked woman rushing through the forest, but once she explains her problem to him. He tells her that he wants nothing to do with any of this because it will only complicated his life. Although before he can get away, the ninja's that were pursuing her appear. This cause him to get involved, where he has to save her because they labeled him as a target because he is with her. This chain of events leads to him having to travel around with her for awhile until he can get her where she needs to go. That he believes that once there he can be rid of her.

Although during this journey the women introduce herself as Isanami only because she is tired of him calling her “Teme” which in English is means you but is quite rude. Which forces him to introduce himself as Saizou. However once they reach their destination he tries to ditch her but just before he leaves he gets attacked by Sarutobi Sasuke, who only attacks him because Saizou is a Iga ninja. Which after the fight for awhile it get broken up by Isanami when she announce that she is her to see Sanada Yukimura which is the feudal lord of ueda castle. Once she explains her situation to Yukimura she expects him to help her but he says he won't because it will only cause trouble for him but he also says that he isn't enough of a demon to just send them away in the middle of night, so that at least for tonight they can stay but they will have to leave in the morning.

When she is alone with Saizou he tires to comfort her because she is distraught from hearing this news. Just when she though that she would be finally safe, it appears that she isn't. Then once they go to their separate rooms to sleep for the night, Saizou uses this opportunity to try and escape her. Although it seems that she expected his plan and followed after him when he leave under the cover of night. Although this leads to them being captured by the ninja's that where chasing her. Although they are saved by Yukimura and Sarutobi however this only cause Saizou to complain that Yukimura was only using them as bait to find their enemy. Yukimura the response that it wasn't like Saizou was in any danger to begin with. Which prove true when he effortlessly breaks free and kills most of the ninjas, although this cause Isanami to freak-out and cause everything near her to wither. It seems that when Saizou approuch her she calms down. This leads to Isanami being taken in by Yukimura and by some strange occurrence Saizou is force to come along with her. The episode ends with the fact that it seems that Yukimura is planning something, and somewhere in there Isanami is part of this plan.
