Valvrave the Liberater - ep16

This time it is focus on Marie, and through Marie we learn more about the Valvrave's nature. Although there is still the pressing issue of the on going battle and the threat these new unit pose. Things get more complicate when the two opposing side try to wipe each other out. When these new unit launch an attack on L-elf predicted location, while at the same time L-elf unleashes his trap throwing the Dorssia army into disarray. This leads to Haruto being separated from the Valvrave, and force Marie to once again pilot it.

Now this reveals the nature of Marie's memory loss, that it wasn't lost Pino consumed it through the testing phase of the Valvrave. That in the end the reason she was drop as a test pilot was her limiter broke. It seems that memories are the richest form of Runes, but the problem lies in the fact that the Valvrave can consume your memories faster than you can make them. This is reflected in the moment that Marie is force to pilot the Valvrave once more. She believes that once everything is finished that she can just make more memories, although things aren't that simple. This also reveals why the unit that was stolen was so powerful because Cain was using the purest form of runes. This also gives some incite into possibly why Haruto is getting worse it could be that his limiter is slowly breaking.

The question remains what happened to Marie was she delivered that final blow did the Valvrave consume all of her memories leaving her comatose or did it devourer her entire being. However on a light note it seems that they succeed on their mission, but the price might have been to high. There is also the fact that they might be able to find friends within Dorssia because it seems that there is a Loyalist faction with the government that doesn't approve of the way things are done. It look like they will be providing them aid in the future. There is also the question of the role that princess will be playing in the future.
