Nobunaga the Fool - ep17

Now with their return to the eastern star, there is a major focus on Himiko's connection to Nobunaga. Where they go into how they first met in this spirit realm but Nobunaga arrival there through unconventional means caused him to forget Himiko when he left. This moment is what also leaded to her falling in love with him. Other than revealing Himiko's past they also get into the fact that she is dying, that she is not just stressed from traveling back and forth between the two planets. It seems that all the previous queens of Yamatai have suffered from the same problem that the die young. That these past two trips have shorten her life, but she doesn't want Nobunaga to hold himself back on her account. This is also why she provokes Jeanne into declaring war over who gets Nobunaga, because she wants someone to be there to take her place when she dies. It seems Himiko is preparing Jeanne to take this role because she doesn't believe that she has much longer and it is possible that she has chosen Jeanne to be her successor when she dies.

Then you have the matters on the western planet with Caesar and Mitsuhide being captured. That we get into the story of what Caesar is always wearing that mask, that he first started wearing it because of an injury he received. However since it intrigued the ladles he continued to wear it even after his injury as long since healed. Which end Caesar shallow story, this transition into Mitsuhide story where his father committed Sepuku although we don't know what the detail surrounding this event. It just that this is the large reason that Mitsuhide is currently serving Nobunaga. Although toward the end of the episode the two are seperated where Caesar is taken away and Mitsuhide is left alone. However shortly later he hears a commition outside and see the two guard knock out with the key to his handcuffs laying at their feet. This leads to him escaping but the question is what are the reasons for Nell and Bianchi for helping him. It seems that they are serving their own agenda, but their timing is perfect since it is done when Arthur is unleashing a massive invasion force on the east. Which is perfect for Mitsuhide since he needs to catch a ride back and he can't really go around looking for Caesar.
