Valvrave the Liberator - ep09

Now that the danger has passed for now they can morn Aina's death, and with this you also have the expansion of L-elf's plan. That L-elf is now having everyone go through military training, that the Valvraves can't be their sole means of defense. Although while this is going on other are obsessed with thought of revenge. While it Thunder is very obvious about his desire to pilot one to get revenge ever since he seen Haruto in action, and he isn't taking being denied very well. However it is clear that Inuzuka wants revenge against Dorssia for Aina's death but is willing to listen to what L-elf is saying. That is they can only allow the best to pilot to Valvraves that are awaiting pilots because they for a genetic link with the pilot which makes it impossible to switch out the pilot for anyone else. Which translate into you want one then earn it. This leads into the dark side of the Valvraves with Haruto's condition getting worse but he has L-elf to keep him in check but the question is why is he getting worse and why is his machine hungry.

This transition us into the next attack by Dorssia, things began by the students showing the results of their training. That they are able to defend themselves, that is when Haruto and Yukino go to push back the enemy. However this is merely a feint that Dorssia is pulling to lure the Valvraves away from the unit to leave it nearly defenseless. This is when they send in the second fleet, with the pressure that the unit has to endure by defending itself ultimately leads to the defense going down because the system can't keep up with the power demands. Then in the chaos Thunder tries to take one of the Valvraves for himself, but Inuzuka is there waiting for him. Although this is partly because he has the same idea, but he tries to hide this behind good intentions. However in the end he accept the truth that he doesn't want to pilot for everyone's sake but for his own. Then with this fact he lets Thunder do as he wishes, while he heads off to another machine to do as he desires. It seems that L-elf knew all along what they were going to do and allow it to happen because it was needed. More of the mysteries are revealed after Haruto displays his displeasure with L-elf's actions. That the entire unit exists for the sake of the Valvraves, that everything in unit 77 exists for the sake of the Valvraves. However this doesn't answer to most important question of what they are.
