Starting where they left off with Mana
and Kurumi crossing swords. In the end it doesn't take Mana long to
kill Kurumi once more. Although with Shido witnessing Mana's action
first hand put him into shock, while also at the same time
unconsciously rejecting Mana's existence by denying Mana's way of
life. However he is still in shock when he meets Tokka and Origami,
which leads him to run away from them. Although later Tokka is
waiting for Shido outside his house, and talks with him to help him
through his shock. Tokka express to him that she might have end up
like Kurumi if she never met him, that Kurumi needs some one to lead
her out of the darkness. That probably Shido is the only one that can
do that, in the end Kurumi wants his help even if she won't admit it
to herself.
The next day at school Kurumi isn't
expecting to see Shido, however she is surprised by his declaration
that he won't allow for her to kill any more while also he won't
allow her to kill anymore either. It seems like Kurumi doesn't
believe that he is able to carry through with his word, and to test
him she goes about attacking the school. However the only one that
isn't effect by her powers currently is Shido because he is being
protected by Yoshino's and Tokka's powers that are seal inside of
him. Then once he leaves Tokka to confront Kurumi, Kurumi leaves
copies of herself to keep the other occupied to prevent anyone from
interrupting their conversation.
While initially it seems that Shido is
beginning to win her over but before he can save her Kurumi is killed
by herself. Then at this moment that Tokka and Origami show up, then
to make things worse Mana shows up as well. When Kurumi sees that she
is out numbered she show the true nature of her powers, and that is
to control time. This reveals why she could never die because she is
link to her other self that exist across all of time and space. In
the end you may be able to kill her in the present but it is
imposible to wipe the universe of her existence. This also is the
nature of the clones, that they are not really clones but the
convergence of all her different future meeting in a single moment in
time and space. When all seem lost the final player arrives Kotori,
it seems that this is why she knew that Shido had the power to seal a
spirit because he was the one that sealed her.
