Now with it seems
that they are using Regan to transition into the second season of Log
Horizon. While the first season was about dealing with the unrest
that the apocalypse caused, the second season is going to revolve
around bring a resolution to the world of Eldar Tale. That in this
conversation with Regan, we gain a bit a incite from the prospective
of how the NPC view their world. This is convey by first talking
about different class of magic, this gets us to world magic that can
rewrite the laws of their universe. That to them this world magic has
been invoked three times.
The first time
was by the elv's for the sake of getting their revenge against the
world's races for destroying them. In a way they got their revenge by
throwing the world into the dark age by creating monsters, but for
the players perspective this is the creation of re-spawning monsters.
This is a problem for the races of this world because no matter how
many times they are kill they will still rise again. The later
through an act of god the second world class magic was invoke
summoning the adventure to this world. This happen 250 years ago for
them, this ends up creating a bit of a time shift for the players.
The to further illustrate this shift, by defining that Shiroe first
appearance in there history 98 years ago. That would equate out to
about 8 years. Then this leads to the issue of the third use of this
world magic which to the adventures is what they call the Apocalypse.
Now that he
finished the explanation of the three uses of this magic, this give
us incite into how their world is made from their perspective. It get
into the issue of the adventures resurrecting, and how it is related
to the monsters re-spawning. That every-time a player is kill the
lose a bit of their experience when they are resurrected back at the
temple. This wasn't a problem before when their physical self and
their avatar were separate entities. However now they they are united
as one, this means that dieing now will cause you to lose some of
your memories maybe to a point were you are unable to remember the
world they originally came from. In the end it would make Eldar Tale
their reality, although it is unclear on how much is lost when
someone dies but that doesn't change the fact that they will lose
part of themselves when they die. The question is how will this truth
effect their reality, and it seems that this world magic is necessary
from them to return to their true lives outside this game.
