Now with the previous arc finished, they are force to pursue many smaller plot line the build things up to begin the new arc. One of the point they bring light to is that Masuzu club isn't an officially recognized club. That there current goal is to make it so but it appears that to make it so they need more members at the very least two more. It is clear already who these two are going to be from introducing and closing sequence, as well there have been some hint at this with certain people taking action out of clear view. Although this idea this Masuzu trying to start up another one of her plans, where she wants them to create a theme song. However her plans fall apart when Eita wants no part in it, and he still doesn't move on the fact even when she begins to threaten him with his notebook.

This also brings us to another point with the strange letter that someone has been leaving him. This ultimately introduce us to the first new character Akishino Himeka, believe that the life she imaged when she had Chunibyou was real. That unfortunately for Eita she believes that he is her lover from that past life, that all she needs to do is make him remember. The reason for this is because he slipped back into his Chunibyou when he was trying to protect Chiwa from Sakigami in-front of the train station. Although in a way he brought it upon himself, however this is going to make it hard for him to hide this dirty secret he has since Himeka will not let it be forgotten  However there is potential that this will also destroy his reason for being with Masuzu.

Then the last point they bring up is that there appears to be some sort of conflict between Masuzu and her family. This is made clear when her little sister shows up, but it is unclear why Masuzu is so afraid of her. Naturally with her personality you would think that it would be the other way around. Then there is also the fact that she hint that Masuzu came here for a reason, while it is clear that Masuzu doesn't want to go into details with Eita. This brings up another issue, that there might be a different underlining reason that Masuzu blackmailed Eita into going out with her. If that is so then it probably lies with the conflict that Masuzu has with her family.
