While last time there was a focus on
Maou action, this time around they focus in on Yuusha. There is a big
focus on this coming battle to take back Bright light Island which is
currently under the control of the demons. That Maou needs it back
under human control to further her plans. Although because of the
impatience of one four southern kings, the initial plan to take back
Bright Light Island was doomed to fail. However while the commander
of the fleet was trying to save himself, it leaded to the Winter King
sacrificing himself. Which ultimately leads to his son taking his
place, and with the end of this tragedy he decides that he will lead
the next assault. That he feels that is the only way to prevent
further loss of life.
Although they are really focusing on
the war on the human side, the write seem to ignore the reason behind
Yuusha motivation to take back the Demon's Gate City back from the
humans. That the reason for this is because of the battle with the
Dragon king, that he made a deal with him. That he must stand down
for three months and before the time is up, he will take back the
city. Although if he doesn't the Dragon King get to do it his way.
The reason none of this is mention is because they are just glancing
over Yuusha's action in the demon world.
Things end with Maou and Yuusha
reunite on Christmas after being apart for a year. That this defines
to moment before each of the personal battles are going to begin.
That they are trying to obtain some peace of mind before it all
begins, and to find the will to do what must be done. Although after
their moment has passed, it is clear that the next time that they
will met on the battle field. However they are trying to keep us in
the dark on how things will come to pass. It will be interesting to
see how everything come together next time.
