K - ep13

The conclusion is finally here, things start out with Kurou finish up his fight with Yata and Saruhiko. Then while the fight continues, there is a brief flashback to the point where they met Mikoto and join the red clan. However things end when they are finally force to consider defeat and leave the island. Once this happens Shiro meets up with Kurou, where they go about setting a trap for the seventh king. This is done by confronting the colorless king and making it appear that Kurou is going to kill him, because he need fulfill his promise to the previous king Ichigen. Although this is nothing but a trick to get him to jump into Shiro. The reason for this is so that Shiro can seal him away inside himself.

However this turns out to be only the first step in riding the world of this corrupt king. It seems that although Shiro has the power to trap him, it is not permanent solution. It appears that Shiro will not be able to keep him contained for long, this is where it is revealed that only a king can kill another king. This means that although Shiro has trapped the colorless king, he has to have another king kill him to finish the job. This is where he is force to order Kurou to leave him, that this is something he must do alone. Even-though Kurou knows that he is not going to survive.

This leads to Shiro finally coming face to face with Mikoto by breaking up his fight with Munakata. This allows for Mikoto to achieve his final wish, to kill Totsuka's murder. Although he is aware that the first king is holding down for him, he does feel sorry that he had to do all the dirty work for him. Even though he might feel bad about it, this still doesn't cause him to hesitate. Then with the death of the Seventh king his is not far behind.

Just as he deals the finishing blow, Mikoto lose control of his powers causing his sword to fall from the sky. This forces Munakata's hand, that to stop another creator from forming he must kill Mikoto before his sword falls. He successful but it is a hollow victory because he was forced to kill a friend. This bring a sad end to the series with both Mikoto and Shiro gone, although there is sliver lining in this tragedy with the fact that Shiro is the immortal king. That with the announcement of a second season, that means somehow Kurou and Neko will be reunited with him.
