Now
with the start of the second season, it seems at first glace that not
a lot has actually changed. However something have changed, with
Misaki's more intense pursuit of Jin. Although her actions have cause
other effect, such as a change in the way that Shiina acts toward
Sorata. This change was beginning to take form back in season one.
Now it seems also as if it has taken a step back from where it was at
the end of the season, where the depicted Shiina as realizing that
she was in love with Sorata. However now it is more along the lines
that she knows that she feel something for Sorata, but is uncertain
on what she feels. This is where she getting ideas from watching
Misaki.
This
ends up leading her ask Sorata to help her show her how to make a
bento. Which is a bit ironic sense, she is going to be giving to the
one that is teaching her. Although Sorata is a bit doubtful that this
is a good idea, but goes ahead with it anyways. Things turn out
fairly well until they come to using a knife. However I think that
Sorata when a little over board when she cut her finger. They take a
break from cooking, partially because Shiina editor has come to visit
her. Although as she is leaving, Sorata wants to talk with her about
Shiina.
This leads them to having a meal together while they talk. Ayano
starts talk by asking how he feels about Shiina, but when Sorata is
unable to give an answer. She goes further by talking about how she
felt when they first met, how her impression of was that Shiina
wasn't really part of this world. Although now she feels not as far
way as she use too. Sorata comments on this as well, where before her
entire world revolved around her art. Now it seems like it isn't as
important as it once was to her, that now she seems a bit lost like
she doesn't really know what she wants anymore. Ayano feels that if
she continues that she continues in this direction, Shiina might lose
what makes her special. There talk comes to an end when Ayano gives
Sorata, the invitation that she forgot to give Shiina about the end
of the year party that they are having on Chirsmas Eve.
Then
as Sorata returns to the dorm, he meets Shiina at the entrance. Then
with his talk with Ayano so fresh in his mind, he questions Shiina on
why she isn't trying as hard as she use to. He is irritated with her
because Shiina is successful without even while him on the other hand
doesn't seems to have any real success with another rejection letter.
When Sorata brings this up, Shiina responses with the fact that if
this is really what he wants than get out of her head. It seems that
Shiina can't stop thinking about Sorata but she doesn't know what she
really feels about him. This leads them to returning to their rooms.
Where
on his return he finds Misaki waiting for him outside his window. It
turns out that she wants invite Sorata up to her room. On the way up
Sorata doesn't feel safe going in alone so he has Aoyama come with
him. It turns out that Misaki wants everyone to be gone on Christmas
Eve, so that she can be alone with Jin. When they leave Aoyama
confronts Sorata, about if he has any plans for Chirstmas Eve. This
is when she gives him the ticket to a play that she got from Jin
earlier in the day. This appears that it will create a bit of
conflict since, Sorata will have to choose who he will want to spend
the day with. It can either be Aoyama or Shiina, not both.
