Things start out with Maou overseeing
their progress with her new farming methods. Since it has been three
months since they start using her ideas, there is enough of a result
to seek support to further spread these method outside the village.
This is why Maou and Yuusha are heading off to the lake-shore order.
This leads them into explaining on the politic influence religion has
on the human world. That the church is more well respect than any
king, and this is what makes them prefect for further spreading
Maou's farming methods. Everything is going well until it turns out
the leader of this congregation is an old acquaintance of Yuushas. It
turns out that she is not participial please with ditching her and
the rest of the group to ahead on alone, only to have him show up
here with a woman by his side. However once he explains what since he
left them she manages to calm down enough so that they can sit down
and talk.
The before they can get into what
brought the Crimson Scholar (Maou) here, the Female-Knight (Onna
Kenshi) tells him what happen after he left. That with him gone they
really couldn't continue after him so they left the demon world to
report but the mage didn't share the same believe and she headed
after him on her own. This only left her and the old man to return, a
month later they receive a report that the Maou has been wounded and
Yuusha is assumed dead. Since she didn't fell right about taking the
money, she return to the lake-shore order where she was knighted to
help the people. While the old man took the money, and is now working
for one of the southern countries. Although the one he most concern
about is the mage, however there really isn't anything to be really
done and it doubtful that she would die anytime soon.
This gets us back to the main focus of
why the Crimson Scholar is here. This is when one of the nuns come in
bring the potato that she prepare according to the Scholar's
instructions. After waiting for Onna-Kenshi to first try it before
going into explaining the value of the crop. That it yells three
times as much as wheat, also since it grows underground so it make it
difficult for the birds to get at it. The only down side is
poisonous, not really the sort of thing you would like to hear after
you have already eaten it. Although Onna-Kenshi is relived when it is
minor problem that doesn't take much effort to counter. However this
leads to the question what does the Crimson Scholar want in return
for such a miracle food. That if she could receive financial
compensation would be nice, but what she really wants to see is the
other side of the hill. In a world that doesn't exist yet, a world
without war or famine. If that all that see really wants is for the
order to spread her ideas, than there is no reason not to give her
aid.
Now with that situation resolved thing
progress in Yuusha and Maou heading down different paths. Yuusha
feels responsible for the mage and is intended to leave in the middle
of the night while Maou is still asleep. However she is step ahead of
him since she manages to catch him just as he finishes packing. It
seems that in her absence the demon realm has started to become
unruly, and since he going to look for the mage. While he is there,
he will make it clear who is still in-charge. Also to help him out
she is going to have him use the previous demon lords suit of armor,
and on top of that she has also prepared some introduction letters
since he is going to need help if he intends to find the mage.
Although before he goes she wants a goodbye kiss, but she isn't happy
about how he only kissed her on the forehead before tel-porting away
with a promise to do the rest when he gets back.
