Aldnoah Zero - ep18

It seems that things weren't as focus on Slaine as they were portrayed as being although he still plays a major part. Things start out with Slaine having to justify his action in this duel which the other knight end up accepting although they don't like it. Then things quickly shift back towards Inaho and him dealing with the next orbital knight. However how it is done is interesting since he isn't directly involved. That his job is relay the coordinates back to the Deucalion so that they can target the enemy from over the horizon. The enemy was easy enough to deal with but there was a bit a drama going on with Inko questioning Inaho's loyalties because she saw him with Rayet releasing the prisioner. That it is only later that he is able to restore her trust in him by informing her of he didn't want to involve her in what he was doing.

This leads into the next major battle the duel between Slaine and Marylcian. It is interesting how in the beginning it seems very one side with Marylcian dominating over Slaine while all he seems to do is run away. Until Slaine lures Marylcain into a trap where he can remove his enemies advantage which allows for Slaine to easily finish him off. This also seems to point toward Slaine's greatest weakness which seems to be that Slaine can only win when he can lay a traps in advance. What interest is that Inaho was able to see the battle all the way from earth. It seems that things are progressing toward a future conflict between the two. One of the things that has complicated matters is Asseylum waking up, while at the same time the fake princess declaring her marriage to Slaine. The question is what will happen now that the status qua is broken.
