High School DxD New - ep09

Now it seems that the situation behind Gasper is a bit more complicate that it was initially perceived to be. Although it seems that Gasper wasn't seal because he was hostile but more a danger to himself. However in meeting Gasper Issei has mixed feeling because he believe for seeing Gasper that it is a requirement for all Bishop to be blond Bishojou's. Then he is horrified to realize that Gasper is not a woman but a man, that he just likes to cross-dress. That Gasper situation is more complicate because he is a half-vampire as well as being a devil like the rest of them but hates blood which is strange for a vampire. What make it worse is that he was happy about being sealed in because he is a shut-in.

It is clear early on that this whole episode is about Gasper, and getting him to be part of the clan. Everyone seems to have their own idea to get Gasper use to world on the outside. The ones that take a more active interest is Xenovia and Koneko in a less than healthy way. Where Xenovia chase her round with her sword, while Koneko tries to feed the poor vampire garlic. What interesting is that Azarel shows up to give them some advice on how to help Gasper. This gets us to the issue on why Gasper was seal in the first place, was because he didn't have control over his scared gear and this is where Azarel's advice comes in. What is also interesting is that he seems to imply that all scared gears come from dragons.

Then after a long day of trying to help Gasper, it leads to Gasper retreating back to the safety of his room. This is when Issei informs Rias of what happen while she was gone, but this also leads her into telling Issei about Gasper past. That because of what he is has leaded him to be rejected by both humans and vampires. After hearing this Issei is resolved to help gasper because he has suffered in a similar way that Asia has. That by talking about their shared burdened with the scared gears comforts Gaspers, although what helps even more is when Issei talks about how he is envious of Gaspers ability to freeze time. Even thought this helps Gasper to be willing to venture outside it still like like it will be awhile before he will be attending school with them. However what interesting is they give a bit of insight into what the next episode will be about with Akeno and Issei meeting the Archangel Michael.
