The series starts off with focusing in
on Ryousuke, and his daily life. What we learn is the he might not be
the kind of pervert that Issei was from High School DxD was. However
his problem lies in the fact that he says what he is thinking out
loud. Which in the end gives him a very bad reputation for being a
pervert. When in reality he is just a real honest person, although
honest is a valuable trait. There are times when being too honest can
be a curse. In the end Mina his childhood friend understands this and
accepts him for who he is. That he doesn't mean any harm it just that
at time he just can't help himself. Also with his personality cause
him to be at odds with Tamano, who hides his sexual ambition behind
sweet honey words. This leads to Ryousuke hating him because he is
untrue to himself.
This take to the main starting point
of the story where he meets Lisara Restall outside his house in the
rain. Although he has a brief perverted moment, he gets over it and
invites her inside to drive off. Once inside she talks like she
knows everything about him, then leads to her asking if she can touch
his chest. Which most would find to be strange, be Ryousuke doesn't
question it. This later leads to a bit of a problem because this is
when Lisara stabs him with a sword. Lisara leaves him there as she
goes off to take a bath. Later we learn that she really didn't kill
him, then after some complication in waking up.
He gets a proper explanation, that she
is a grim-reaper or other wise know to the Japanese as a shinigami.
That in grimworld the live off of the energy of human souls that the
person didn't use when they were alive. That she doesn't know what
happens to them after they pass through their world, but that isn't
the real issue. The point is a shinigami that exists in human world
has no other way to survive than to gather it from a human. That what
she did was to form a temporary link to him so that she can survive
to do the job that she came her for, that in the end he is nothing
but life support. That he should be feel honor to be of use to
someone of such noble blood.
This death threat quickly come to an
end when a strange monster attack Ryousuke's house. This leads to a
lot of his home being destoryed. Then after awhile Lisara starts to
get weak because she is running out of energy. This is expressed by
her armor slowly fading away. Once Ryousuke realise what is happen,
he decides that somehow he has to get some energy to her. This
results in him grabbing Lisara breasts while she is hanging
upside-down. Which delvers a lot of energy because of Ryousuke
emotion high. This allows for Lisara to effortlessly to defeat the
enemy.
This leads to final explanation on why
Lisara is here, the she wants to find a genius or hero. The reason is
that the energy that they posses is equal to a thousand souls. That
if she kills them after forming a pact with them. She will get all of
their energy and will get promote because of it. Then once she
realize how useful as an energy source he is, tells about how he is
going to die in three months. That if he would just help her, than
she might just save his life. However he really isn't sold on the
idea of being use like a battery, since he isn't allow to do anything
perverted. The question he must ask himself which is more important
his life or his pride.
