How our hero with him ruling over a remote district has no real loyalty to the nation that he serves, that this nation is tainted by the power struggle between the two major lords Ganelon and Thenardier. That the anime doesn't cover the importance of this fact because it glosses over the importance of Prince Regnas death. This is important because Regnas is the current kings sole heir, that with Regnas demise the king no-longer has the will to rule and this causes Brune to be on the verge of a civil war because of the ambitions of Ganelon and Thenardier both want their family alone to inherit the thrown.

That in the mist of all this Tigre finds himself as a prisoner of war simply because he impressed Eleonora with his skill and courage. This results in him really only being a prisoner in name, because she desire to possess Tigre and toward this end is the reason she has request this ridiculous sum for his retern. Which was only offer because she was obligated to for taking a prisoner of war and there is nothing in the treaty between Brune and Zhcted that says it has to be a fair amount. That during his time of his imprisonment they gloss over another fact of why he is disrespect for his use of the bow. That in Brune the weapons of honor are swords,axes, and spears. Things that allow you to directly face our enemy while the bow is favored by thief and cowards. Also along side this they don't touch on the fact Tigre is incapable of using anything but a bow.

Lastly it clear that the are rushing things along with the arrival of Bertrand's arrival at Eleonora's castle warning Tigre of the impeding invasions by three thousand of Thenardier troops into Alsace. This is problematic because Tigre was barely able to amass one hundred when he was summon to go to war. It is even worse now because he is still technical Eleonora's prisoner. That in reaching this point they skip a lot like his growing relationship with Eleonora and Rim her attendant as well as Mashas attempt to gather the sum needed to free Tigre which ironical lead to Thenardier invasion of Alsace. The reason given behind this is that he seeks to destroy it so that Genelon can't take it. That through all this it forces Tigre to make the only decision he can to save his fathers lands by requesting aid for Eleonora, which results in him ally himself with Zhcted to save Alsace which will ultimately lead him to be labeled as a traitor by his home nation of Brune. That this is where the next episode will likely pick up next time.
