Amagi Brilliant Park - ep01

The premise of this series is interesting but they really didn't get into the core of the plot this episode. The idea behind the story is that everyone that works at an amusement park are from a magical country and the mascots are real that there is no-one inside them. Also it seems that amusement parks exist is to function as joy farm, and by having their guest enjoy themselves here they can harvest their joy. That this joy become animus which is use to power their magical country so in a way it is a symbiotic relationship. The problem is that Brilliant Park is largely a failure where all the rides are backwards. That worst yet you have an ill-tempered mascot that pick fights with the guests. Probable the worst thing by far is that the love hotel next door looks more like an amusement park then it does.

Although some of the characters are interesting but it's clear that things will only really shine once things really start rolling. First you have Kanie Seiya who is extremely narcissistic but it seem like he has some connection to Brilliant Park and it's manager Latifa Fullanza. It seems like that he didn't forget coming here as a child but was made to forget. Then there is trigger-happy Izusu with her being unsure on how to act around others. However one of the things that is going to make things interesting is the Code Geass spin. That when Latifa bestow Seiya with magic to make him believe what he is being told, he is granted the ability to read peoples minds. Although he can only use it once per person. That one of the things that is seems to be implied in the story is that by saving the park he will ultimately be saving himself. It will be interesting to see the connection between Brilliant Park and Seiya.
