The thing that really I find really
striking about this series is how Kidou Eita wants nothing to do with
woman. Although in various animes you will see that the protagonist
will unwittingly get the attention of various different woman, or
will have some sort of psychological issue that prevents them from
getting close. However having the lead role practically swear off
almost all association with the opposite sex is very rare. Although
it is understandable why he doesn't want anything to do with woman,
because he see them as a distraction in getting into medical school.
That the only hope he has for getting in is to get a school
scholarship, and to do that he must be the valedictorian.
Although most people around him accept
him for who he is, and they way he is. However it turns that someone
else, has something different in mind. Natsukawa Masuzu is the most
popular girl in school and after returning from overseas, there
hasn't been a day that someone hasn't ask her out. She figures that
there must be someone to use for a fake boyfriend, this is when she
sets her eyes on Eita because the day that they change seats he
barely even took notice of her. Then when it turn out that it wasn't
a one time thing, this is when Masuzu decide that he would be the
one.
Although initially Eita is doubtful
that her confession is really heartfelt, when she just acted like he
said yes. Then as she is forcing him to walk her home, Eita pulls her
off to the side of the road to set Masuzu straight, that he isn't
going to go out with her. Now that she realizes that Eita knows that
she isn't really serious, and that she just wants people to stop
asking her out. However he really doesn't care about her situation,
he just knows that all of her problems will end of transferring to
him because of other peoples jealousy. That he isn't interested in
love and that there is nothing for him to gain by being her fake
boyfriend. This leads to her blackmailing him with his middle school
journal that she found inside one of the use books she bought. That
she has already scan the entire journal, that if he doesn't play nice
who knows what might happen. This begins his new trouble life as
Masuzu boyfriend, although it isn't going be as simple as just
walking her to school. That it is only a matter of time when the act
stops being an act.
