Zetsuen no Tempest - ep09

Things begin with the explanation on how the messages connect through time, it seems that since there were no others for it to connect to it end up connect to itself in the future. This convinces Mahiro that Hakaze is really dead, and then because of this she is no future use to him so he cast her aside. This leads him into trying to make a deal with Samon, since Hakaze is no-longer able to grant his wish. The when Samon hears about what his wish is, he doesn't have any problem in granting it. This is when he calls Tetsuma to search through some records to find out who it could have been.

While this is going on, Yoshino laments the fact of how easily Mahiro just discarded Hakaze. When Yoshino pick-up Hakaze's totem, he is remind of the story that Aika-chan told him about when he complained about how she was always quoting hamlet the draw a comparison with there situation. This is when she tells him the story of tempest where it is very similar to hamlet but it doesn't end in tragedy. Then when he finish his recollection he focus in on the core of the story revenge, an island, and a mage. That it has a startling comparison to current events, and this gives him inspiration on what to do next.

This leads him into starting a fight with Mahiro to try a get the talisman from him. Although his attempt end in failure, however this in-fighting unsettles Samon which leads to him getting involved. Then as Samon begins to fight Mahiro, Yoshino steps out of the fight to stand next to Hakaze. Which leads to him taking on a different approach to achieve his goal. Then to do this he tries to get Mahiro back on his side by saying that he has a theory on how to bring Hakaze back. Although this isn't enough to convence Mahiro, since Samon is going to grant his wish. However things change when Yoshino says that he know who Aika's boyfriend was, and if he doesn't come back then he will never know. This gets Mahiro to agree to Yoshino's terms if he can prove that he can bring Hakaze back. However he only has until Samon brings Aika's murderer. The question is how is Yoshino going to bring her back, since you can't revive the dead. However there is a way since she is able to talk to them, this suggest that Yoshino will bring her forward to their time from a point that she was still alive.
