It seems that the
Letter that Sorata has been waiting for awhile to arrive has finally
gotten there. Once he realize he has gotten in he asks Ryuunosuke for
some advice on his presentation that he has to give as the second
half of the game competition. It turns out Sorata doesn't much care
for Ryuunosuke blunt advice, of just wear a suit. Then when this
advice isn't enough, he puts forward the idea that Sorata should give
his presentation to the people here at Sakurasou because everyone
here has very different views. This leads Sorata in preparing for his
presentation with everyone's help. Although when it comes to the day
itself, he fails when the judges start asking him person question
about his motivation and drive.
When he returns
home he is depressed over his failure, although it is made worse but
Shiina success in her serialization of her manga. This cause him to
start distancing himself from Shiina, because he doesn't want to
start despising her because she is so successful. However before his
pity party can really get going, Misaki invades his space telling him
about everyone is going to the pool to have Aoyama's welcoming party.
It seems that Aoyama doesn't want something like this because of how
depressed Sorata is right now. Although Sorata feels that this is
something that would be best because he needs something right now to
distract him and I believe that the others know this.
In the beginning
he questions the fact that any pools would be open at this time of
night, however Jin tells them that he got permission from Chihiro to
use the schools pool. Although once things get started it takes him
awhile to get into the mood and put his failure behind for at least
for now. It is not long after everyone is enjoying themselves, that
the security guard come by. It turns out that Jin lied, and so now
they all have to make a run for it. Then as the are making their
escape, Aoyama tells Sorata that she expected that he would be more
depressed. Sorata tells her that he is depressed, but he has to keep
moving forward or else his failure will consume and he will be afraid
to try.
