There are three important thing that they go over in this episode.
The first being how the kings where first created. It turns out that
the first king Adolph Weissman was responsible for this, and his
experiments leaded the ground work to create the first kings. However
his initial intentions was not to create an army of super-soldiers
like his supervisor suggested. Instead he believe that it could be
use to create a perfect world, question remind that at the end does
he wish for such a world with his sister dead. Adolph behavior
suggest otherwise with him cutting him self off from the world.
The second issue is where the go back to the present to deal with
the aftermath of the explosion of the first kings airship. Although
there is a some doubt if he really did die in the explosion. This
doubt is reflected in the behavior of the blue king, and it is very
likely that the gold king is trying to cover for him. It is very hard
to purse an investigation on the crimes of a dead man. That Adolph
was aware that Munakata was on to him. Another is that Adolph produce
a successor since Yashiro acts a lot like Adolph did when he was
younger, what every the case may be it doesn't change the fact that
we aren't any closer to an answer.
The third point reveals the reason on why the third king Mikoto
allow for the blues to lock him up. It turns out that he was waiting
for the perpetrator to approach him, which he ends up doing in all do
time. That it seems like this person was trying to use Totsuka's
death to get to Mikoto so that he could steal his power. However it
turns out that his plans back fires on him when Mikoto uses there
connect to find out where he is. Since he has what he needs there is
no-longer any reason to remain in prison, so he breaks out. Then as
things are coming to a close, it is also revealed that Mikoto doesn't
have much time left.
