Things start in with a more detail
explanation of the tree and what everyone is trying to achieve. It
appears that there are two legendary trees. The first is the one we
have hear about so far the tree of genesis, but it appears that they
is a second tree that we didn't know about. It seems that the fruit
that Samon is awakening doesn't belong to the genesis tree but the
second tree called exodus. The name are funny because genesis means
beginning and exodus means end, it seems that the trees reflect their
nature. Long ago the two trees fought each other and exodus lost but
not without incurring great damage to the genesis tree. The problem
lines in the fact that the genesis tree is trying to protect the
natural order of the world while it heals itself. Which means it
can't heal itself quick enough with Samon helping the exodus tree
recover. There are two point that are made here one is that Samon
wants the power of the exodus tree to do something that defies the
worlds logic like bring back the dead. The other point for this
conflict is Hakaze saw his desire as a betray of the Genesis, which
ultimately leaded to her imprisonment.
Once Mahiro and Yoshino reach their
destination at the aquarium to collect more of Hakaze's talismans.
Aika makes another return in Yoshino's flashback, that they went on
of their secret dates here once. That it is Aika that put the hair
pins in Yoshino hair in a shape of two X's. It also seems that they
vary same talisman that they find is the vary same necklace that Aika
got for him. Then before Yoshino can reflect any further a new enemy
shows up. It appears that this person call Tetsuma or arrow man as
Mahiro coin him, is clever and conceited. This allows for them to
escape him by using a critical flaw in the magic that they use. It
only protects them from direct action but not from indirect action
like electrocution through the water.
Then with Samon taking more aggressive
action against them out of fear of Hakaze with destroy his ritual. It
seems that she doesn't need them to directly fight Samon's mages but
to interfere with the ritual itself. That with it's failure he would
be force to free her from his self-imposed prison. However to have
the hope to do this they will need greater protection, and this leads
them to Hakaze's brother Junichiro. The reason being that she left
some of her greatest talismans in his care. However after meeting him
they find out that she is dead. Things end with us seeing Samon
taking Hakaze's skull out of the barrel, this raises the question of
if she is already dead. Then what will interfering with Samon plans
really achieve. Could it be that he is trying to use the exodus tree
to raise her back from the dead which would be ironic since he is
responsible for her death.
