Episode – 07 Summary
Things start-off with Koyomi finding his sister, but when he question why did she run-off. Her answer is a bit surprising to him because she never agree to let him handle it in the first place. This cause a bit of an augment between them because Koyomi believe that she isn't strong enough to deal with Kaiki, she wasn't before and she definitely isn't now. That she should just go home and let him deal with things. Although she tries to prove that he is wrong by beating him up, but in then end she agrees when. Koyomi makes the point of it isn't physical strength that she is lacking but mental strength because in the end she doesn't believe in what she is fighting for. That her reasons are weak, that fight for other isn't enough. That you need to have something deep to motivate you, and not just be motivated by others justifications.
This leads up to the point where Senjougahara and Koyomi confront Kaiki. Although as the conversation goes on with Kaiki he isn't really what Koyomi thought of him at first that he had some connection to the super-natural. That isn't the case it just that he knows of people that deal with it and uses that information to run his cons. In the end the only power that he had was the power that they let him have by believing that he did have power. This leads to the story of the fire-bee that there was no such thing it was some story made up in the 15th century, that what he did to Karen was instant hypnosis. That with somehow Koyomi taking half of it inside himself that she will probably be better by tomorrow. That without any sense of resistance he agrees to leave the city and to stop selling curses and cures to children. It turns out to be a disappointing end to one of the longest arc in the series history taking whole seven episodes.
Then like Kaiki said Karen was completely better, the next day to go off and play her hero game. Although the dealing with Kaiki was a way for Senjougahara to reach some sort of closer with Kaiki that she felt that anyone that helped her with her problem would have been her prince so she feels ashamed that she did have feeling for Kaiki at one time. Although she is glad in the end that Koyomi was the one that save her, and was there for her. That by getting closer with Kaiki it allows for her to truly move forward with Koyomi and what ever is awaiting them.
