Episode – 07 characters

Matsuda & Motohama – They are Hyoudou Issei's friends from mid-school, on graduation they decide to enroll in Kuou Academy because they just change from an all girls school to co-ed. The reason they want this is that there would be high population of women to men, so that they could fulfill their dream of having a harem.

Kiba Yuuto – Is extremely popular with all the girls, and because of this he is envied by Issei, Matsuda, and Motohama. Although it seems that he will play a larger role later on.

Rias Gremony – Is the President of the Occult Research Club, and another key character in the story. However for some deeper reason she has been keeping a close eye on Hyoudou Issei.

Hyoudou Issei – Is overtly perverted, and has some strange dream about being a harem king. Which if you ever watch Yu-Gi-Oh, the joke that the writer is making is quite apparent. Although after he dies he has a slight change of heart. It will be interesting how much he maturates over the course of the series.

Himejima Akeno – She is the Vice-president of the Occult Research Club, and her personality is a refection of the Yamato Nadeshiko “Ideal Japanese Woman”. Although other than this not much is revealed.

Toujo Koneko – First year student at this part of the Occult Research Club, and is classified as a loli character that is popular with men and woman.

Ashia Argento – She is a nun that has recently moved into the city that Issei lives in, but the strange thing is that, the only church in town doesn't have a Priest so no-one see a point in going there. Other than this brief introduction not much more is given out about her.

Freed Serzen – Is the Priest that works for the strange church in town, although he is a very violent person. That doesn't seek so save the soul of the people that make contracts with devils but seeks to kill them before they can make them. It appears that the reason the priest is so strange is that he works for the fallen angles.

Shitori Souna – She is the leader of another group of devils at the school called Sounashitori. Also she is the president of the student council, it appears that everyone that join her family has to become part of the student council. There is also the fact that she is the childhood friend of Rias Gremony.

Shinga Tsubaki – She is the vice-president of the student council, which means that it is likely that she was is Souna's Queen. Although anything more isn't really known

Saji genshiro – It appears that he will be Issei rival of sorts, he was also a pawn. However he was only made with half as many pawns as Issei was. He doesn't like the idea that he is simliar to issei in any way.

Zattuji – He is the familiar master, which is clearly making fun of pokemon. Which was very popular in the 90's, with is got' catch them all. Although it appears that if you want to get a familiar that you have to go to him. However he only takes people familiar hunting once a month.

Rassei – Is Ashia familiar, although because of it's behavior for hating everyone but it master. Is going to make things difficult for Issei in the future because it will probably electrocute Issei often.

Episode – 07 Summary

Things start out with Rias informing that Issei and Ashia are going to be graduating from passing out the fliers, because she is going to be taking them to get there familiar. Although just as she says this Souna walks in, because she feels that it is about time to introduce herself to Rias new subordinates. This leads to Issei being surprised by the fact that there are other devil here, however from Souna we learn that devils are not really suppose to interact with each other. That is why it is not surprising that Issei wouldn't know about them. This leads to the talk about Rias going to take her two new member to get there familiars while it turns out that Souna was planning the same thing for Saji. This leads to a bit of a conflict between Souna and Rias because the person that helps people find their familiar is only available once a month. Then to solve this problem they decide that they will have a sports competition between them to decide who goes first.

The competition that they decide on is a tennis match between the king and queen of the two families. Which means that it is Rias and Akeno vs Souna and Tsubaki. Although the game start out fairly normal in the beginning things quickly get out of hand. This happens when they start using magic when things get a bit heated, fortunately the people are stupid enough to believe that the ball is magic. Although things end in a draw when the racquet break. Then they decide to settle it with dodge-ball, but before the game begins Issei gives them headbands because he wants to show how grateful he is for what they are doing for him and Ashia. This motivates them to win the dodge-ball match against Souma, hence winning Ashia and Issei to find their familiars.

When they go to find their familiars, is seems that it is not as simple as finding something that you like but it seems more like the familiars has to choose you instead. When Issei goes looking for his familiar a water spirit appears before him so he expects it to be some beautiful woman but it turns out to be something that looks more like a man than a woman. This cause Issei to turn it down because it is nothing like he would want. In his search for another one he finds this slime that it's only ability is to eat woman's clothing, which cause him to desire for the obvious reasons. However Rias advises him to think twice about this because a familiars is very important to a devil. Although this isn't much of an issue when it gets destroyed by a blue dragon that wants Ashia as it's master. Which she gladly accepts it, and immediately names it Rassei. The reason is “ra” because it uses lighting and “ssei” from issei name. This in the end the trip for a familiar, which ends a bit disappointing for Issei because Ashia is more of a devil than him. I believe that probably Issei will get his in a bit more dramatic fashion, but if he got right away it wouldn't be as interesting as if it just occurred out of some random stream of events.
