High School DxD - Episode 12

Episode – 12 characters

Matsuda & Motohama – They are Hyoudou Issei's friends from mid-school, on graduation they decide to enroll in Kuou Academy because they just change from an all girls school to co-ed. The reason they want this is that there would be high population of women to men, so that they could fulfill their dream of having a harem.

Kiba Yuuto – Is extremely popular with all the girls, and because of this he is envied by Issei, Matsuda, and Motohama. Although it seems that he will play a larger role later on.

Rias Gremony – Is the President of the Occult Research Club, and another key character in the story. However for some deeper reason she has been keeping a close eye on Hyoudou Issei.

Hyoudou Issei – Is overtly perverted, and has some strange dream about being a harem king. Which if you ever watch Yu-Gi-Oh, the joke that the writer is making is quite apparent. Although after he dies he has a slight change of heart. It will be interesting how much he maturates over the course of the series.

Himejima Akeno – She is the Vice-president of the Occult Research Club, and her personality is a refection of the Yamato Nadeshiko “Ideal Japanese Woman”. Although other than this not much is revealed.

Toujo Koneko – First year student at this part of the Occult Research Club, and is classified as a loli character that is popular with men and woman.

Ashia Argento – She is a nun that has recently moved into the city that Issei lives in, but the strange thing is that, the only church in town doesn't have a Priest so no-one see a point in going there. Other than this brief introduction not much more is given out about her.

Shitori Souna – She is the leader of another group of devils at the school called Sounashitori. Also she is the president of the student council, it appears that everyone that join her family has to become part of the student council. There is also the fact that she is the childhood friend of Rias Gremony.

Shinga Tsubaki – She is the vice-president of the student council, which means that it is likely that she was is Souna's Queen. Although anything more isn't really known

Grayfia – She is the queen of Sirzechs, like Akeno is Rias's Queen. The other things is the question is who Sirzechs is, and that very simple. He is Rias brother.

Rizer phoenix – Is a jerk and a womanizer, also he is the heir to the phoenix clan. It also appears that he is Rias fiancee, even so he doesn't care that she doesn't like him. He just see her as an opportunity to obtain greater power, as well as another conquest.

Episode – 12 Summary

In the aftermath of the rating match, it appears that Issei has been asleep for two days even after being healed by Ashia. Then before he wakes up he has a conversation with Ddraig, which he alludes to the fact that in the future his is going to meet a white dragon. The reason is that they are destine to fight each other, another thing he implies is that he suggests that Issei is not normal. It could even be interpreted from Ddraig words that Issei himself is a dragon. Although the lasting he says to Issei before he wakes up is that he is going to need get a lot strong to face the things in his future.

After he wakes up he comes face to face with Grayfia, which informs him on what is going on. That Rias forfeit the match because if she didn't Rizer would have kill Issei. That everyone is in hell from a party to announce Rias engagement to Rizer, expect for him and Ashia. Then with that she leave Issei with a summoning card to get him there, but after Grayfia leaves Ashia comes in and is overjoyed that Issei is finally awake. The reason being is that she feared that he would never wake ever again. Then before he leaves for the party he make a few final preperation with Ddraig and Ashia for his rematch with Rizer. Issei intent not to just have a rematch with Rizer but also to take back Rias from him.

Issei arrives at the party, but when he arrives it seems that the others were waiting his arrival to try and take back Rias. Then before things get too out of hand Lucifer shows up, and states that he was particularly displease with Rizer performance in the rating game. That he feels that his actions bring a degree dishonored to his families name, so he wants Issei and Rizer to have a rematch. Lucifer also tells Issei by agreeing to this he is doing him a favor, so that in return if Issei wins. Then he would have the right to request anything he so desires from Lucifer and he would be honor bound to grant it. While Issei could request for anything, he ask for Lucifer to return Rias to them. Which basically means absolving the engagement between Rizer and Rias.

Then as they are about to begin the fight Issei boast that he will beat him in ten seconds, this causes Rizer to come back with he will beat him in five. Shortly after it starts as Issei is charging Rizer he request from Rias to use his promotion power to become a queen. Then once he has been promoted, he uses his over-boost, which means for ten second he will have full-access to Ddraig's powers but to get this he has to sacrifice a part of his body to use it. This turns out to be the vary thing that he needs to fight Rizer on even footing, but it also gives him a bit more of an edge as well. This means that his arm is no-longer his arm but a dragons arm which means that part of his body is immune to Cross and Holy-water. This allows form him to deal major damage to Rizer by increasing the power of the cross that Ashia use to wear. Although Issei wastes half of his time in over-boost by telling Rizer about all this, which cause Over-boost to time-out before he can finish Rizer.

This Leads to Rizer come back where he grabs hold of Issei, but think that he has him where he wants him. Rizer doesn't expect for Issei to pull out a bottle of holy-water, and enhance it by using his sacred gear. This cause Rizer to lose his regeneration powers because Rizer can regenerate his body but not his soul. That is the very thing that the Holy-water ended by attacking. Then with Rizer in this weakened state Issei finish him with enhancing both the holy-water and the cross together to deal a massive blow. Then before he make contact Rizer goes no about does Issei know what he is doing, that this marriage is for the benfit of all devils. In response Issei says that he doesn't care because he is an idiot that doesn't understand complicated things, that the only reason he needs is that Rizer made Rias Cry. That does doesn't need any other reason than that, then we it look like Issei is going to hit Rizer again and that this will result in his death. Lucifer stops the match because it is clear that Issei is the winner.

Then with everything finished, Issei take Rias back to the human world on a griffon. While on the way back Issei and Rias have a bit of a romantic moment. Where afterwords she tells him that she is now going to start living with him. It will be interesting to see how that will turn out in the next season of the series. Things end with Lucifer talking with Grayfia about a white dragon, called the vanishing dragon. The question is what this white dragon will really be in the end, is it going to be another gear like the red dragon is or is it going to end up being Issei summons. Since if you remember when he and Ashia went looking for familiars she is the only one that returned with one. In the end all we can do is wait for the next season of High School DxD, to find out the answer to these questions.

Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai - Episode 12

Episode – 12 characters

Segawa yuuta – Is a freshman in college, and is getting settled into his new life. His choose field of study for his major is Japanese literature. Also it appears that he has a complicated family because he was raised by his sister.

Oda Raika – She is viewed as a strange person because of the only person that she is know to spend time with is the Sightseeing Club President Sako. Where when she was a freshman she was extremely popular, however now in her second year of college as a Liberal Arts Major she is view as an outcast because of her strange behavior of not knowing how to deal with people.

Sako – He is the Sightseeing Club president, and is well known for his perverted nature. Also one thing in-particular is that he has a fetish for young girls meaning that he is a pedophile.

Nimura – Is a member of the Sightseeing club and it appears that he will be a close friend to Yuuta. Although for some strange reason he never really sleeps at his apartment but has women use it in his stead although for some reason he sleeps over at Yuuta's place but in return he pays for the food.

Sora – She is the Eldest Sister, and is from Shingo's first wife. Also another point to note is that for some reason she is deeply in-love with Yuuta her uncle who is the brother of her fathers thrid wife.

Miu – She is the middle child and is from Shingo's Second wife. While at this point it doesn't seem like she is in love with him like her elder sister, this still doesn't mean that she isn't fond of him.

Hina – She is the youngest sister, and of the three sister the only one that is of blood relation to Yuuta. It also appears that Yuuta hasn't had much interaction with her because of his dislike of Shingo because he married his sister when he had to daughter already.

Shingo – He is the husband of Yuri, Yuuta's sister. Also it appears that when he married her he brought with him two children from previous marriages. However we don't know if they end in divorce or death of his previous wives.

Yuri – Is Yuuta's sister and the third wife to Shingo. Also see wish for her whole family to exist as a whole and not have Yuuta create this barrier between them just because he doesn't like Shingo.

Atarashi Kurumi – Is Yuuta's next door neighbor, it appears that her occupation is that of a voice actress. She plays a part in Lunaluna 7 which is Hina's favorite show.

Sawa – She is the daughter of the landlady. There is two things that she is very particlar on. The first being rule, that everything must be done by the book and has no tolerance to rule breakers. The second is that she is very sensitive about is her age.

Landlady – The real Landlady or know as Sawa's boss and mother. Is more tolerant and is understanding of their situation. That she also understand that thing don't always play out in an ideal manner in which we would like them to.

Episode – 12 Summary

In this last episode of the season, the issue that this being addressed is the matter of family. Since the very beginning of the series they have been avoiding the fact of making it clear to Hina that her parents are never coming back. That she believes in time they will come back from this far away place where they went away to. In the end Sora decides it would be best if she was to inform Hina that her parents went somewhere that they come never return from. In a way not exactly telling her that they are dead but just that they can't return. Hina ends up taking this information fairly hard, and then refuses to go to daycare for three days.

This event also cause Yuuta the question himself on the fact of whether or not he can be there father. Then when he ask Raika for some advice, she is particular hard on him and tells him that he can't be their father. The ends up being a fairly big blow to Yuuta, this leads to him meeting up with his aunt. However when Sora hears about this she think back to the letter about the Takanashi offer about taking them in. Then to stop this she rush off to find Yuuta, which she finds him in front of her parents graves. Where she hear him talk about that it time that he should show some resolve in his decision. Sora believes that decision is about having them go far away with the Takanashi. When she see her Uncle and aunt arrive she gets scared about what will happen but it turns out that her assumption are wrong. That it turns out the offer was is some form of atonement by his aunt being unwilling to take in him and his sister when their parents died.

After they leave the cemetery, it reminds him of a time when he went through something similar to what Hina is going through right now. That on parents day in school his sister came in saying she is there representing every family figure that Yuuta could have, that in the end that made it easier with dealing with not having parents anymore. This leads to him trying to do something similar for Hina to cheer her up. The first step to this end is confronting Raika about what she said earlier about him not being about to be their father because he can only be himself. This then cause him to ask Raika to be his wife, but the only one that really understood what he really meant by saying that is Raika herself. This leads to him bring his friends and all the people in town that support Hina to her Daycare event. Where she feels that even-though her parents are no-longer with her it doesn't mean that her family has gotten any smaller.

The season ends with it showing Yuuta and his Niece moving into to the house that use to belong to their parents. That at this point all of the major conflict are concluded but also the series feels like it is only half-way over because a lot of what happen could really only be a set-up for some deeper conflicts down the road.

Brave 10 - Episode 12

Isanami – She is the sole survivor of the Izumo shrine, also it appears that she has some strange power that she doesn't even know that she has. Another thing to point out is that her name is vary similar to the goddess in the Japanese creation myth. It wouldn't surprise me if they have her end of being the reincarnation of Izanami.

Kirigakure Saizou – He is the other real major character in this story. Also from the way he act, it like he has a great many secrets to hide. Like how he says that he is a samurai while in fact he is an Iga ninja. It also appears that he has some sort of connection with Isanami by how he is able to calm her down. There is also his unexplained hatred for feudal lords.

Sarutobi Sasuke – He is a Koga Ninja, and this is what leads to the conflict between him and Saizou because in Japanese his the Koga and Iga ninja's have a long standing rivalery. It also seems that for some reason the koga ninja's under his command are surving Sanada Yukimura.

Sanada Yukimura – His is Lord of Ueda Castle, it also appears that he is renown for his intelligence and integrity. Also it seem that he is seeking to draw ten great warrior to his side to equal his equal great fingers, before he can go to war.

Rokurou – He is a mysterious figure that is helping Yukimura in his ambition. Although it appears that it will be awhile before we learn more about him.

Kakei Juuzou – Is a Samurai in service to Yukimura, and he specialize in juujitsu (fighting with guns). He is also extremely conservative and believes that Isanami's behavior towards Saizou is highly inappropriate. That it would only be acceptable if they were married.

Yuri Kamanosuke – Is a bandit that is encountered on their way to Izumo, although he is not really interested in stealing. The thing he wants the most is to find someone the kill, because only on the edge of life and death does he truly feel alive.

Date Masamune – Is the ruler of Oushuu, and is an ally of Tokugawa Ieyasu. He is searching for kushi-mitama which are fragments of a god's soul. That he believes if he gets them all he will became a god and this is the reason he is after Isanami.

Miyoshi Seikai Nyuudou – He is apparently the brother of Isanami, although they are not related by blood. It is just the fact that they are both orphans what where taken in by the head priest, also he is the one that found Isanami at the entrance to the temple. Also the only reason he is still alive is that he left on a journey to become a monk, and now believes that Shinto and Buddhism are the same.

Mochizuki Benmaru – He is just a kid but Yukimura made him one of his brave ten, but original he was named Mochizuki Rokurou but Yukimura didn't like having two Rokurou so he gave him the name Benmaru. He specializes in explosives and traps, which is why he was testing people so that he could find someone strong to serve. It just so happens that Yukimura is the only one that passed.

Ishida Mitsunari – is a feudal lord of Aizu, and is trying to join an allince with Yukimura to fight the Tokagawa's. Then to this end he has made alliance with many other lords, the question is where this will end up leading with things also happening with Iga's league of five.

Naoe Hanegetsu – is a feudal lord of Sawayama, and like Mitsunari wants to form an alliance with Yukimura. He also makes it clear how incompetent he think of Ieyasu that he has so many fault that it is simple to time consuming to list them all. However the question is if the Alliance will happen with the Iga's league of Five attacking Yukimura's brave 10.

Tokugawa Ieyasu – Is the shogun, also he is referred to as a Tanuki. Which in Japanese folklore are know to be trickster. Although a lot of accusation are also place in the series that he is incompetent.

Nezu Jinpachi – He appears to be the last of Yukimura's brave 10. The interesting thing about him isn't his love for sake and women, but in how he is very similar to Saizou when he first met Yukimura. Where the only thing he really want is to enjoy his freedom.

Iga's League of Five – In the League of five is five legendary ninja which have focus on mastering a single Ninja displine each. That together there is no-one that is a match for their skill. The five are Hattori of flash speed, Byakugun of Herculian strength, Kaiyo of Witchcraft, Ana of Cold blood. Although the Fifth the core, is Raizu the master of illusions.

Ana – It turns out that she was one of the Iga's league of five, that she was in the end only with Yukimura for the sake of gathering information. Although she is important in sealing the goddess of murderer that lives with-in Isanami. The question is when Ana of the cold blood with betray the league of five.

Hattori Hanzou – Is the one that burned down the Izumo shrine, and is working for Tokogawa Ieyasu. It appears that all of this was only a part-time job for Hattori. That he was only working for Tokugawa because it fit his agenda at the time. Although as one of the League of five he is really only serving himself.

Kaiyo – Is one of the Iga's League of Five, also it appears that the snake user that was killed earlier in the series was her Sister. It's a bit Ironic that it is just now that we are learning that her name was Oukatsu. That like her sister she can control the minds of living things, however instead of controlling snakes she controls insects.

Byakugun – Is another one of the League of five, that he/she is a bit creepy since he looks like a woman at first but later when he pumps-up he looks like a man. The other thing that is a bit of a concern is that he is clearly stronger than Seikai.

Raizu – He is the last of the League of five, and it appears that his skill is illusions. That by giving them the greatest pleasure possible. Then he kills them, while they are still under his spell.

Episode – 12 Summary

Now we have reach the conclusion with Isanami releasing the goddess that was sleeping inside of her. Although it is kind of interesting to see how messed up in the head that Hattori Hanzou is. Where once he realize that the true power isn't Isanami hair-pin but Isanami herself. He believes that he can train Isanami, like he would a dog. Which means that he believe that he can enslave Isanami, which is just sick and wrong. However his arrogance leads to his undoing by believing that the kushi-mitama is to tool to control her power, in the end because of his arrogance he gets consumed by the darkness.

That with his death, is the prelude to the down-fall of the League of Five. The Next to fall was Byakugun, where he was defeat by the combination of Benmaru's explosives with Seikai's Kenpo. The third to fall was Kaiyo by Isanami's darkness freeing Kakei and Sasuke, when it confused Kaiyo's insects. This allows for Sasuke to bind her with a poisonous vine, while Kakei finished her off with his gun. Raizu is finished-off by Kamanosuke because his strike wasn't strong enough to finish him-off, this allowed by Kamanosuke to kill him when his guard was down. The last of the Legaue of five and the only one not to die, was defeated by Jinpachi when Ana went to grab her sword. Jinpachi electrocuted her by passing his lighting through the sword while at the same time breaking the ice he was sealed in.

This leads to the last matter, Saizou has to find a way to Isanami so that he can seal up the goddess. Then at this moment we find out what was written on the wall back at Izumo. When the darkness returns to this world, it will take someone with a vast and strong heart to seal it up again. Then because Rokurou can't see how to fulfill this prophecy he intents to sacrifice his life and use his water element to partial seal Isanami. Which in reality would probably be pointless, but before he can do this the darkness attack him, and he ends up getting save by Saizou.

This leads to Saizou taking matters into his own hands where, he believes that Isanami is still in there and that she is just being a pain as usual. This Leads to him cutting the orb with his sword, creating an opening so that he can reach Isanami. Then when Saizou finally meets her, she being all emo, and blaming everything that has happen on herself. Then by Saizou accepting her as a human-being, that the pain and sorrow she feels is proof that she is human. This gives her the strength to seal up the Goddess back inside of herself.

Then with that all finished, things progress in a way to allude to the fact that even-though the series is ending a sequel is in the works. This is emphasize by Hanegetsu and Mitsunari realizing what Isanami is, that Ieyasu is a fool to wish to use that kind of power. That there is no control there only death. Also with the information reaching Date Masamune, he make it clear that he is going to start a war with Yukimura. Things end with Saizou question Yukimura if he knew it was going to turn out this way all along, that he feels like that he is nothing more than a pawn in Yukimura's scheme. Yukimura responses to this by saying that if he believes this is so than it is also possible that he is a pawn is someone else scheme as well. Things end with Saizou being instated as the brave 10's leader.
