Hitsugi no Chaika Avenging Battle - ep01

Now as the second season of Hitsugi no Chaika begins, they delve into the events that preceded his death. It seems that Gaz was expecting the heros to come and kill him. What is an even greater mystery is that he desire them to do so because he needs to die to be able to carry out his plan. The question is how does all this connect. The intentionality death of Gaz, the multipule different Chaika's claiming that they themselves are the true Chaika, the quest to gather up Gaz's corpse, Guy interaction that pits the Chaika's against each other, and lastly Vivi's unsuccessful transformation into Chaika when shortly before a previous Chaika died.

Although right now things are focusing in on Toru's group continuing their quest and in doing so they have challenge Claudia for her piece of Gaz's corpse. In this first battle Chaika fails because her incantation are too long and this works against her because Claudia's incantation are so short. That means in a pure duel Chaika can never win. Although for the rematch Claudia will allow the siblings to aid Chaika and only one them has to hit her to win. However on the downside they will have deal with a time limit. This battle will strengthen Chaika by starting her down the path to make her magic more efficient. Then you have the issue of Fredrica turning Toru into a dragon caviler, that in the end this will happen but what will force Toru to take the plunge. That will this battle with Claudia be the turning point.

Then you also have the issue with Gillette's squad and the it having to deal with their commanders death. It is also complicated with the issue of releasing a false report to the committee. That you had one Chaika that was behind the magical fortress incident as well as having another one trying to stop her. That in the end only one Chaika is reported, then there is also the issue of Vivi's transformation. Then you have Guy appearing before Vivi confirming what she fears the most, however this also alludes to the issue on why Chaika has so few memories is because when she became Chaika she lost her previous self. Although the situation with Vivi is different since she became Chaika but has also retained her own identity. That Viv is going to play a key role in discovering the truth about Gaz's death and why there are multiple Chaika. However the most pressing issue is what will be the conclusion between Chaika and Claudia.
