Little Busters - ep01

The series is focus in on a group of five friends that have been together for a long time, and the groups name is the Little Busters like the title of the series. The series so far seems to focus in on two key characters Riki who lost both of his parents, which ultimately leading to him become part of the little busters because they help him over come his loss. The other key character is Kyousuke who is the leader of the group but has a habit of being incredibly random and does things in way that only make sense to him.

Also what is interesting is how Masato and Kengo are intense rivals but they won't fight unless Kyousuke is around. That being said in the start of the episode Kyousuke returns from a trip, and for Masato and Kengo this is a call to arms. However it turns that Kyousuke is too tired to even care, so this cause a bit of chaos. It is only when Riki wakes him up to do something about since they will only listen to him, his solution is that because both of them are too strong in their respective fields they will fight using whatever the spectator watching throw in to the ring. Things don't go over too well in the practical application of this rule, which leads to Kyousuke's sister stepping into the ring when Masato decides to use a cat as his weapon of choice.

Then later on once everything settle down the series start progressing towards the key point of the plot. Since Kyousuke is in his last year of school, he needs to decide whether he is going to get a job or continue with his education. However Riki feels that in time they will all go there own separate ways, how about they do something together like they use to. This gives Kyousuke the idea to start up a baseball team, and his reason for it being baseball is just because. There is a little problem with this sudden decision, together that only makes five and you need at least nine to form a team. Although Kengo isn't going to be apart of it so that means that they will have to recruit five more people before their first game.

This seems to be the main focus of the series get enough people to form a team, however beyond that point it is unclear where they will be going with the series. I find to some degree it is a lot like Clannad. Which was about reforming the drama club but it end up focusing more on the unique personality of the characters involved. I have a feeling this series is similar that the goal that the series has create is just the backdrop, that the real driving force isn't the plot but the characters themselves.

K - ep01

This series in many respects is very similar to “Zetsuen no Tempest” where magic is involved, but it does it in a different way. The magic in this world seems to run parallel to the real world, hidden beneath the surface. That in the use of magic is control by two different factions, the first is the wiseman which are some government body but there true intentions are unclear. Then there is the second faction which is governed by the kings, and from the story we know that there is at least seven kings. However it is unclear on how these large scale battle are fought between these two faction, and what the goal is behind these battles.

Then after the introductory fight in the beginning the rest of the episode focus mostly on Isana Yashiro's daily life at school. Then at this point we are given clues that some things just aren't right about him. The first is that the cat that is following him around might be more than it seems to be, because before it joins him we see a naked woman jumping around in a cat like manner. Although everyone around her ignores her but the cleaning robot. This seems to implies that she is part of this hidden world.

Then towards the end we start to get answers to some of our question on where they are going with this series. It seems that Yashiro might not be the nice kid that we first thought he was, or he has some evil twin that he has forgotten about. Then there is the issue with his missing cellphone, almost as if he is trying to stay under the radar and not be found. If he is really the person on the video, what could have happen to change him and why did this person call themselves an evil king. Also it's questionable about the direction the series is going head in after they end it the way that they did. Although one thing is clear it is definitely going to be interesting.

Zetsuen no Tempest - ep01

There are a lot of interesting things going on in this series, the key issue of this point are the non-characters. One of such characters is Aika who is Mahiro's sister but early on in the series it is point out that she is dead, that Mahiro left to find her murder. How even though she is dead it doesn't stop her from being a key focal point of the series. The other non-character is Kusaribe Hakaze who is a powerful mage that is trapped on a desert island, even though are protagonist never meet her that doesn't change the fact that she is still a key figure in the story.

Another interesting character is Evangelion Yamamoto, which initial seems like her only purpose was to bring Yoshino and Mahiro back together after a month apart. Which this event has also brought, Yoshino into the events that are unfolding around Kurogane sickness. However at this point it is unclear on what part she will play in the story will be. The other interesting fact is why she believed that Mahiro is responsible for the sickness. What is interesting is that Mahiro desire to avenge his sisters death will lead him into saving the world.

Although another direction that the series is going in is that there might be more going on than what meets the eye. The first thing is that the email that Yoshino receive from his girlfriend threatening him if he doesn't show up for there date, and him act like it doesn't matter. However at the end of the episode at the bottom of the email there is a picture of Aika, who through her interaction with Yoshino we are leaded to believe that she hates him. The fact is that everything that is happening seems to for some reason revolve around Aika, Yoshino, and Mahiro. It will be interest to see how things develop.

Anime Season of Fall 2012

This season since I couldn't really decide on which series to blog on that I would wait until the first episodes have finished airing. It seems that they major theme for this season is magic. There are some animes that appear to very interesting, as well as the return of some old series like To Love Ru and Hatake no Gotoku. One series to look into is Code Breaker because it is based upon a long running manga that I expect to run longer than one season. Normal I'm interest series that approach psychological issues like "onii-chan dakedo ai sae areba kankeinai yo ne" because his twin sister that he hasn't seen for six years is in love with him, but love she desires he has no intention on returning. This is interesting because of the zen or Buddhist concept of passion, that all feeling are in truth a refection of this passion that what determined whether something is good or evil is how it is view in retrospect that no act itself is evil. However society doesn't view things with such open-mindedness. With these types of series is why I decide to wait and see what they are like before committing myself to anything.

Campione - ep13

It seems that the true source of the prophecy was Metis who looks like a dark version of Athena. Once this is realize, an explanation is given on why she was able to consume Ama no Murakumo. It seems that since Ama no Murakumo came from the corpse of the eight headed snake, then a snake should also be able to take it back. Then with understand the nature of Metis, Godou and Athena must be sent away. The reason being is that Godou already use his ace and needs time to get it back if they are to have any hope to defeat Metis. Also along with this line of thought they can't allow for Metis to become whole either by consuming Athena. Then to this end the four of them remain behind to hold Athena there while Amakasu takes them away to Mt. Fuji.

There on the mountain Athena questions Godou on what she is, since she has lost her memories.

Godou tells her that she is a god, that he really does know what a god is. In the beginning he thought that they were these mighty all powerful beings, but after meeting some he realized that they are greedy and childish to some extents more human than human. Meaning that there really isn't much difference between a human and a god, that they only real difference is where they came from. Then conveniently just as the conversation ends his powers return, and Metis arrives a moment later. This is where the real fight begins.

Although like usual he tries to solve things peacefully, and like always it fails. Interestingly enough Godou doesn't directly summon his sword, but tries his other abilities first. Unfortunately they really don't seem to be much of any help. This is when Athena holds her down, this provides Godou the opportunity to summon the sun against her, unlike Athena it doesn't seem to do much. This is when Metis consumes Athena, and shortly after this the others arrive. However Metis has return to her true form once she has absorbed Athena.

Once this has happened, this is when Godou starts to use his sword. It it first summoned from kissing Mariya, then by kissing Ena it allows for him to take Ama no Murakumo from Metis. Then for some reason Metis has more barriers than other gods that Godou has fought in the past, but conveniently enough he can break one barrier for every girl that he kisses. This allows for him to free Athana from Metis, then with her help it reforms into a golden scythe. Then together they defeat Metis from consuming the heavens, and prevents Princess Alice's prophecy from coming to pass. Things end with Godou returning to his normal life, however I don't believe that this is the end of the series. Although it is most likely just the end of the first season, that everything that's happen feels more like an introduction. This means that it might be another year or more until the second season is released.

Kono Naka ni Hitori, Imouto ga Iru - ep12

It seems now things are move towards a conclusion, after Shougo's date with Miyabi finishes he confronts Yuzurina. That with the events surronding the party, he believes that the DNA test was falsified. Since he had it done by Seri, and it was her that invited his friends. That his mother said that he ask Seri to invite them. Then there is how she has been pushing him towards Miyabi, in hopes that they would become lovers. Then as things stand now the scandal would only be associated with his father, however if he were to become lovers with his sister. Then it would become his scandal as well. Ikusu interrupts the conversation by revealing that Hosho Yuzurina real identity is Danno Nayuri a famous child actor. Now that the true is revealed, Hosho no-long has a reason to remain around.

Then with one-half of the problem dealt with, Shougo no prepares himself to face Miyabi. However it isn't under ideal circumstances since she almost drown a little while ago. When he reveals that he knows that she is his sister, Miyabi is a little shocked. However she does explain her reasons, that in the beginning she had intended to tell him. Although with everything that happen there never seem to be a go opportunity. Then when Yuzurina showed up, she felt that it was kind of lucky because now Shougo would stop look for his sister and start dating.

Then later when she confronted Yuzurina about being his sister, this is when she reveal to her about the fact she was his sister. Once Yuzurina realize this she told Miyabi that all she want was to keep the secret hidden. That she would offer her assist if Miyabi had any proof to back up her story. That is when she was invite to the party, and she was to bring the proof with her. Although the other were invite to cover this up, but sometime during the party the letter was stolen. Later when Miyabi confronted her about this, Yuzurina act like the letter never existed. It seem like everything would work out.

After hearing this Shougo tells Miyabi about Yuzurina's true identity, once she hears this Miyabi feels regretful over what she has done. Although Shougo is thankful because without her the truth would of never been revealed. That there is nothing to forgive because they are family, the next day leads to everyone else finding out the truth. That with everything resolved Shougo is now free to pursue a relationship, but even-though she has been found out Miyabi still hasn't given up. Also it seems that the series isn't over yet because the mastermind is still out there and Shougo still has to choose a wife. 

Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai - ep12

It seems that Darnia doesn't want to waste anytime in obtaining Ryousuke's energy, although everyone else is upset over how heartless she is being. That they should be allowed to morn their loss in peace, however it seems that Darnia has no intentions on waiting around. She shoves the other out of the way so that she can get wants she came for, but things don't turn out the way she has planned. Since Lisara still has a link with Ryousuke's soul, this means that anything Darnia attempts will be meaningless. This cause her to take extreme actions against Lisara to force her to dissolve this link so that she can do her job.

Although such forceful method are put to an end when Iria steps in to protect Lisara. This forces Iria and Darnia to take their fight outside. Then in the time that pass while Iria is holding Darnia off, Mina receives a late text message from Ryousuke. In this message Ryousuke tells her about that he hear her the first time, that he laments the fact that if things were different they could have been together. Now that Mina knows that Ryousuke loves her, this awakens her powers. Realizing what is happening Iria returns, but Darnia has no intentions to interfere because she is curious if it they will be able to change anything.

It seems that to save Ryousuke Lisara will have to separate her soul from her body but if she is gone too long Lisara will not be able to return. In the beginning Ryousuke reject her help because he feels that she is only doing this to fulfill her promise to him, and if that is her reason then he doesn't need her help. Although once she reveals that she does love him that she is doing this because she wants to, only then does he accept his help. Then when both of them return Darnia comes to a realization that the happiness a person feels is directly related to the amount energy a person produces.

This leads to the end where Darnia creates a new project called Life Jewel, where it goal is to have humans live their lives to the fullest. That by the shinigami work to bring greater happiness to humanity, they in turn would produce even greater amounts of energy when their life comes to an end. This means that by working together they can help each other prosper. However in the aftermath of Ryousuke resurrection it seems that not much has change between the two, and with this there isn't a clear conclusion. Now that the series has end it seems very unlike that their will be a second season.
