Campione - ep13

It seems that the true source of the prophecy was Metis who looks like a dark version of Athena. Once this is realize, an explanation is given on why she was able to consume Ama no Murakumo. It seems that since Ama no Murakumo came from the corpse of the eight headed snake, then a snake should also be able to take it back. Then with understand the nature of Metis, Godou and Athena must be sent away. The reason being is that Godou already use his ace and needs time to get it back if they are to have any hope to defeat Metis. Also along with this line of thought they can't allow for Metis to become whole either by consuming Athena. Then to this end the four of them remain behind to hold Athena there while Amakasu takes them away to Mt. Fuji.

There on the mountain Athena questions Godou on what she is, since she has lost her memories.

Godou tells her that she is a god, that he really does know what a god is. In the beginning he thought that they were these mighty all powerful beings, but after meeting some he realized that they are greedy and childish to some extents more human than human. Meaning that there really isn't much difference between a human and a god, that they only real difference is where they came from. Then conveniently just as the conversation ends his powers return, and Metis arrives a moment later. This is where the real fight begins.

Although like usual he tries to solve things peacefully, and like always it fails. Interestingly enough Godou doesn't directly summon his sword, but tries his other abilities first. Unfortunately they really don't seem to be much of any help. This is when Athena holds her down, this provides Godou the opportunity to summon the sun against her, unlike Athena it doesn't seem to do much. This is when Metis consumes Athena, and shortly after this the others arrive. However Metis has return to her true form once she has absorbed Athena.

Once this has happened, this is when Godou starts to use his sword. It it first summoned from kissing Mariya, then by kissing Ena it allows for him to take Ama no Murakumo from Metis. Then for some reason Metis has more barriers than other gods that Godou has fought in the past, but conveniently enough he can break one barrier for every girl that he kisses. This allows for him to free Athana from Metis, then with her help it reforms into a golden scythe. Then together they defeat Metis from consuming the heavens, and prevents Princess Alice's prophecy from coming to pass. Things end with Godou returning to his normal life, however I don't believe that this is the end of the series. Although it is most likely just the end of the first season, that everything that's happen feels more like an introduction. This means that it might be another year or more until the second season is released.

Campione - ep12

It seems when they travel to this interment world, they all didn't end up in the same place. Godou is unknowingly heading towards Sasuno the one that summoned him here, While at the same time Erika and Ena are content to continue their fight. When Godou meets Sasuno, this is when it get explained why Godou can never remember anything that Pandora tells him because it appears that she doesn't bring him there in the correct way that Sasuno did. When he question Sasuno on what is going on with Erika and Ena, this prompts Sasuno to lift the lid off the pot and show them what is going on. Once Godou realize what is going on he is very insistent on have Sasuno take him to where they are.

This leads us back to Ena and Erika, however it seems that Ena isn't bother by this interment world. Although it seems that just being here is sapping Erika's strength, that she is running on borrowed time. Now that she is in this situation, she reflects on how Godou changed her life. That she use to be a person that wouldn't act unless she knew that she would win. However after meeting Godou she change, once Ena here this she become even more determined to win. This leads to her surrendering her body to Ama no Murakumo, this transformation steal the mana that Erika was using to protect herself leaving her defenseless. When everything appears to be lost, she is saved by Godou.

It turns out the reason that Sasuno what him to wait was to give him the information he need to stop Ama no Murakumo. Although thankfully Sasuno didn't have to kiss Godou to do that, I don't that this series to go in the Yaoi direction. However before Godou can free Ena from the hold that Ama no Murakumo has over her, it ends up escaping by reminding Godou that there something else that is a greater concern. Once he realize the condition that Erika is in he tries to get back to Sasuno home, but it seems like he is not having much luck. The reason is that he can't teleport there because he can't visualize the place, that the only reason that it worked before was that he had an actual image to work from.

Now that it seems that there is no way of getting back there they stop where Erika tells him her last request. The last thing she wants him to do for her is to have Godou kiss her, although it seems that he still can't understand the reason on why she would be in love with him. This cause her to change it to make it clear to Godou that she really is dieing here. Once he does realize the truth, he passionately kiss her. Although once he does, there is another thing that occurs to him. That he doesn't want to lose her, this cause him to release the avatar of adolescents. Which allows him to give his divine protection to Erika saving her life.

Although it seems like everything will be alright, Ama no Murakumo returns. This leads to Erika showing off the power that Godou gave her. Then while she is fight the sword, this provide Godou an opportunity to rescue Ena from Ama no Murakumo. Although Erika isn't pleased with the position that they end up in. It seems that Godou is in a bit of hot water with Erika, however thing get much worse when Athena show up and eats Ama no Murakumo. Then with the shattering of the interment world, Godou is brought back to world of the living. Although it seems that Athena has been split in two and her evil twin is the one that is going to bring about the starless sky that princess alice foretold.  

Campione - ep11

One of the first things that get addressed is how Liliana get integrate into the group. There is not much focus on this fact because it isn't done much differently than how Erika did it although Godou was more aware of what was going on this time around. It also makes a point on how she is now picking Godou up for school everyday since coming to Japan. Although his sister is not too pleased with Godou coming back from Italy with another woman, which ultimately creates more friction in their relationship. However thing take a turn for the worse when Seishuuin Ena introduces herself.

When Ena asks Godou to come to the Tea room, it is for the sake of introducing herself as his fourth mistress. Although because of everything that has happened it causes Godou to not think much about the use of the word Mistress, leading him to believe it is nothing but a title. Like he is called a King but he doesn't rule over anything. Through this perception it has cause him to think of the other as nothing more than friends. When he announce this believe unintentionally it stuns Yuri and Liliana because they believe that they were more than that. This cause them to start to distance themselves from Godou, although it doesn't seem to bother Erika in the least. Once they leave to let Erika and Ena talk, Godou is a bit concerned about Erika's well being. Although she return well, but it seems that Yuri and Liliana need time alone to think. Then just as it seems that Godou would be heading home alone with Erika, his sister Shizuka shows up wanting to have a word with him.

The next day he is eating alone with his sister, however Erika uses the current situation to her advantage. This being with the others distancing themselves from Godou, this is a perfect chance for Erika to ask Godou out on a date. When the time of the date arrives, Erika is displeased with Godou that he hasn't thought of anything. This leads to her tormenting him by forcing him to go underwear shopping with her. Unfortunately his idea is unimpressive with just bring her to various restaurants. When they are taking a break in a park, this is when she suggest going somewhere else than where they just serve food. Then as Godou is trying to think of something, she brings up all the destruction that he has cause since becoming a Campione. That simply dismissing those that help him as nothing more than friend was very kingly of him. When he admits that he knows he was wrong to say that, and he will need to do something to make amends. Then Ena appears as if she was expecting Erika.

It seems that Ena wants to remove Godou's Italian mistress from the picture. She believes that a Japanese man should be with a Japanese woman, that sort of thing is only proper. That towards this end, she intends to eliminate the others from the picture. However it is unclear if she also intends to remove Yuri as well as that she is his only mistress. Although Godou feels that is a very minor issue that there is no reason for them to fight. Then when their fight get a bit heated and steps in to try a stop it. Godou ends up falling into a trap a getting pulled into the underworld. Once Erika question Ena where Godou went, this cause Erika to realize he isn't dead and jumps in after him before the portal closes. The episode ends with the appearance of Athena which will probably be his only way back, but her true role in the story is unclear.

Campione - ep10

It seems after Godou received the message from Persues, they return to the Bronze Black Cross HQ to discuss a plan on how to deal with Persues. Although Liliana's maid Karen brings up the key issue. That Liliana needs to give Godou the knowledge of Persues origins that she obtains from Athena, however she is hesitant because she only wants to kiss her soul-mate. This is a bit of a problem since learning the information from book is impractical, and Persues isn't going to wait months or years for Godou to read all the information that he needs. This leads to Karen suggesting that she pass the knowledge to her and then she will teach Godou the information. Although seeing that he really doesn't want to force to do something that she really doesn't want to do, he leave to make his way to fight Persues under the guise of going to the bathroom.

After Godou has just gotten off a bus he is discover by Liliana, this forces him to explain why he end up going off on his own. That he didn't want to force her to do something against her will considering that only a short while ago, she had to do just that when she served Duke Voban. That he didn't want to put her through something similar, that is why he won't order her to do something against her will just so that he can win. Then it turns out that they no-longer have the time to discuss this issue because Persues has gotten tried of waiting, and this is why he has personal shown up to escort Godou to their arena.

Things go as well as things could for Godou since he isn't any better off from the last time that the fought. Initially he tries to fight Persues indirectly by using the power of the Ox to give him super-strength to throw things at Persues from a distance. Then when Persues subdues Godou, he tries to finish him off by shooting him with an arrow. However it doesn't kill Godou like before because he block it with his arm. This is when Liliana decides that she will help Godou to the full extent of her ability. Then with this Godou finally receives the knowledge he needs from Liliana.

This allows for him to truly fight back because he now know the true nature of Persues and why he is able to void his abilities. That Persues's true name is Mithra, the reason that this was important is because Verethragna the god war that Godou defeat served Mithra the god of the sun. That is why he couldn't win before, that by fighting Persues he is trying to defeat his master. Now with this knowledge Godou is able to server Persues authorities and with it his ability to subdue him. While it didn't finish him off. It allow for Godou to have a fighting chance.

Then with the change in the situation, Liliana step in to assist Godou. Although this action helps Persues because he uses one of his abilities to turn Liliana against Godou. This doesn't present a problem because Godou doesn't want to hurt her. It does take time but eventually he bring Liliana around. However in the process of bringing her around he gets stabbed by Persues sword but it seem that Godou wanted something like this to happen because it allow him to use the camel which gives incredible stamina and great leg strength. This power allow for Godou to corner Persues while Liliana pins him to the ground with an arrow. Now with him trapped Godou can use the boar to crush him, leading to his defeat.

Then with Persues defeat, Godou faints from exhaustion. Then when Liliana is about to kiss Godou for the sake of healing him. Her chance gets stolen by the appearance of Athena who kiss him instead because Liliana was too slow. Then kiss him again just because she felt like it. It seems that she is interested in Godou saying that they will met again. Also it seems that she expecting that Godou wouldn't finish Persues off, that is why she finished him off. Whether it was because she hated him or that Athena didn't want Persues to trouble Godou in the future is unclear. Although it seems that Doni had a similar idea for different reasons. Things end with Liliana nursing him back to health, but Godou is happy to see Erika and Mariya when he wakes up. Although this doesn't last long when it clear that they are displeased with his new relationship with Liliana and this concludes the latest arc.  

Campione - ep09

The story returns to the point where Godou has just been shot with an arrow, but Persues just feel right about the situation and is about to defile Godou's corpse. However before he can realese the arrow Persues is slash at from behind by Athena, and complains that he didn't expect such a cowardly move from her. Although he become intrigued when she tells him that Godou isn't dead, this cause him to decide to end the fight for now. That once they are both healed they will resume the battle on another field. This gives us more information about the ram ability when he meets Pandora again, that it doesn't heal him. That for the ram to be used he must die because it only able to resurrect him. That means it has no healing powers. That only when he dies can he meet Pandora, although because of the nature of these meeting he never really remembers them.

After meeting Pandora, he wakes up to find himself in an unfamiliar place. Liliana tells him that she brought him back here to rest, that if he was able to resurrect it would have been nice if he would of informed her about it. Then as he was telling her there was not that sort of time, this reminds her of who she is talking to and she starts apologizing. This is kind of funny see how she is acting so much like Mariya when they first met, but thing become not so amusing when Liliana is about to kill herself to apologies to Godou. However Karen her maid doesn't help when she suggest that he wants her to apologies in a different way considering he is on vacation here with three mistresses.

Once Godou is able to clear up the misunderstanding, Karen asks him to step out for a moment because she has some official business to discuss with Liliana. It turns out this offical business is that Karen wants Liliana to steal Godou away from Erika. That in the past the Copper Black Cross and Bronze Black Cross were rivals that stood on equal footing, but by Erika become Godou's mistress the Bronze Black Cross has almost all of it's influence. That the failed attempt to gain support from Duke Voban and Salvatore Doni didn't help matters. Although if she is able to steal Godou from Erika it would be a reversal of fortune.

While this is going on Godou finds a book while taking in the view, it turns out this is the book that Liliana writes all her fantasies in when her life gets to difficult. However when Liliana finds him with it things don't go so well. Although ironical Athena saves him by showing up, this leads to her wanting to make a deal with Godou by giving him information on why Persues can subvert his authorities. However before he can agree Liliana stops him, and Athena walks away. It isn't until later that he finds out why it would be bad to agree and that he needs to think more before he acts.

Once they are back to researching to find something to help them. Liliana starts having wild dreams about Godou because he doesn't act in a way that is fitting his position, that they are equals. However when she start getting frustrate that she is unconsciously writing these things down, that in her current state she will be unable to get anything done. This leads to her drugging Godou so that she can meet with Athena to take up the offer, however Godou must no accept. Ultimately this proves pointless because Godou still arrives to accept the offer.

Now that things are set for the fight, we find out that Doni was intending for Godou to fight Persues all along. The reason being is that he needs Godou to level up and get stronger, but he can't have these others helping and holding his hand. That is why he lowered the technological level of the region so that Godou would remain separated from them. Doni feels that if Godou is to get stronger he will have to learn to fight his own battles, that having all these woman always helping isn't anyway to get things done.

Campione - ep08

It's interesting how Godou was force to take a trip oversea for his summer vacation. It turns out as summer vacation was about to begin Erika told him that they were going on a trip. Although Godou wants nothing to do with her plans because they will net end well for him. This leads to him seeking help from Lucrezia Zora who he feel that he can trust because of her relationship with his grandfather, this turns out to be a misguided belief since she is the one that lock the door trapping him with Erika when she was drunk. However the one thing that they didn't plan on was Mariya coming with Godou, which at this point is unclear if it was a good thing or a bad thing.

Later in the night when Godou is trying to escape his misfortune, it seems that Doni is up no good. It seems that the magical organization like the ones that Erika and Liliana serve must turn to Campione in times of crisis, although most the times it seems like they only make the situation worse. This is the cause with Doni when Liliana's guild went to Doni for assistance because of the reaction from on of the magical instruments. He just makes things worse because he doesn't want to wait for things to happen, the results in him cutting the pillar. Which result in summoning of a dragon, that later calls the god Persues to do battle with it.

This is a problem because if Persues kills the dragon he might cause the lands near by to rot and die. However to Persues this is not a problem because his duty is to kill the dragon nothing more or less, what happens after that doesn't concern him. Then just as he is about to finish it, Athena and Godou appear. Athena saves the dragon because she is a dragon herself, however she brough Godou along because she felt like it. Then with Persues prey being stolen from him, he decides to do battle with Godou simply because he is their hated enemy a Campione.

Then just as the fight starts, Liliana escapes with Godou to reach somewhere less people will be hurt. Then while they are waiting for Persues, Liliana tells him that she will do anything within her powers to help him. Godou tells her that the most useful things would be if he could gain the knowledge of Persues, that without it the Golden Sword his greatest ability is useless. That because he is a Campione magic cast from the outside will not work, that the only way is from the inside meaning that she has to kiss him. This is a problem because she is unwilling to do so, That means that Godou is limited to his other abilities. Things get worse since it appears that Persues has the ability to nullify Godou's powers after they have been activated. Things end with Godou being shot in the chest with an arrow, the question is how will Godou work his way out of this.

Campione - ep07

Then with the continuation of the fight, it focus mostly on the conflict between Liliana and Erika, since Godou needs time to recover from using the bird avatar to escape with Mariya. However it appears that Erika and Liliana are old acquaintances, that Liliana bears a grudge against Erika. It seems that after Erika became Godou's mistress, this gave Liliana's Grandfather an idea to have Liliana to somethings similar with another Campione. Which has forced her to be the unwilling servant of Duke Voban. Now that Erika knows she is not doing it out of her own free will, this means that all Liliana needs is a reason to void her service to the Duke. Erika being the devious person that she is has the prefect blackmail to give Liliana just the right reason.

Then with Liliana switching sides, combined with Mariya recent vision. This gives them the edge to make a come-back against the Duke. Since the reason that the were-wolf was able to eat the sun was because it was the manifestation of Apollos power. Although since Godou now knows of the god, he is able to inherit the right information from Erika so that he can use the golden sword. However things don't end so smoothly since it appears that Duke Voban has kill many gods that Apollo was just one of them. That the control over the dead is driven by Orisis, and not by Apollo so that the Duke isn't finished yet.

Since Godou's power are so difficult to use, Erika and Liliana set in to protect him until he can find a way to counter Orisis. While this is going on Mariya has another vision, that Orisis and Apollo share a common trait. Mariya tells Godou if he remakes his sword it should be effective against Orisis, but when he tries to it is unable to maintain a stable form. Erika tells Mariya that is because Godou just doesn't have enough information, this means that Mariya must kiss Godou to relay the information that he needs. This proves to be successful but he is only able to stop Duke Voban's undead servants before they killed Erika and Liliana.

Things get worse because the Duke summon forth a three elemental gods that give him control over the weather. Then with this he summon lighting to strike down Godou but before he can Godou use the goat avatar, which appears to also have control over lighting. Also it appears that it posses a second ability to gain strength from others. That means through the support of the other it strength his lighting. However they are not the only ones lending him strength but the souls of the dead that wear enslaved by Osiris are also helping. This deals a massive blow to the duke but his not finished yet, then as it appears they are going to enter the third round the sun rises. That signals Godou victory, and now the Duke can never touch Mariya again because he is a king that has to honor his word. Also this results in freeing Liliana from having to serve Duke Voban.

Campione - ep06

In the aftermath of Mariya's abduction, Amakasu contacts Godou. They end up meeting at the temple where he tells them that Duke Voban was responsible for her abduction. Then when Amakasu ask Godou if he would help, he immediately agrees. Erika disagrees with his decision, however once he explains that Doni has already contact him telling him that this Duke was already in Japan that this would be the perfect time to pick a fight. Although when he suggest that he would be doing this alone, Erika insist that she would be going to and there is nothing that he can do to stop her. Once that is resolved Amakasu is more than happy to tell them where Duke Voban is.

Once they arrive at the location, a bit of resistance is encounter when they are force to fight some of Voban's undead minions. However soon enough they reach the man himself, where they proceed to engage in negation. Although it is more Erika doing the negation and Godou making demands. This leads the duke to tell him that she is his property, that if he wants her back he should have brought something of equal value. Voban see her only value is to be able to summon a god for him to hunt. That if he doesn't have anything, then there is nothing further to discuss.

Once this is brought up, Erika go forward and tells that they should go forward with Salvatore suggestion. What Erika processed to do is basically insult the duke by repeating a fake message from Salvatore, that Voban is to old to be a Campione anymore that he isn't even worth his effort so he simple sent Godou that was in the same area as the duke. Voban doesn't appreciate this, and to further the insult Salvatore stole one of his kills while his friend Godou stole his other. This cause Voban to start a game with Godou where he gets Mariya back, but he must keep her until the sun rises. Then just to make things more interesting he is going to give Godou a half-hour head-start.

Then as things get underway, Mariya tries to convince Godou to just give up and save himself. Although Godou is unwilling to do this because he isn't going to abandon his a friend in need. Then as it turns out that Duke Voban is going to be a difficult enemy to beat because to effectively use his powers he must know his enemy. Once Voban began his pursuit, his hunting dogs are easily enough defeat by Erika but when the duke himself shows up things get more complicate. The reason for this is that when the duke summons his minions, but when Godou uses the white horse to summon the sun to defeat the Duke. This only results in the duke transforming and eating the sun. The episode ends with Godou being force to retreat with Mariya using his second power meaning he only has eight left to use in this fight.

Campione - ep05

Majority of this episode focus on the deepening of Godou and Mariya relationship. In the beginning it seems that Mariya is particularly unaware of her own feelings. This fact changes when Mariya's sister Hikari starts interfering by giving her sister a push in the right direction. Hikari does this by messing with the lunch that Mariya is preparing for herself into something that would be shared between her and Godou. Although she is a bit resistant to the idea in the beginning, however what ever resistance she did have fades when she start fantasizing about marrying Godou.

Although Mariya's by the time she reaches school, her conviction has all but fade away. However it quickly returns when she see Godou interacting with Erika. This growing conflict between the two woman grows, but they still remind subtle about because they never saying the they are fighting over Godou. This duel they settle on having is Erika has to strike out Mariya but if Mariya can hit it she wins. The problem is that she has no athletic abilities, but she can see the future so Mariya knows what Erika is going to do. Ultimately it ends with Godou's suffering because Erika's last ball flies low and ends up hitting him where the sun doesn't shine.

Then when all three of them are having lunch together, Erika makes a point on commenting of Mariya's actions. Erika bluntly point-put that Mariya is trying to seduce Godou, however Mariya is displeased with this accusation. She tries to defend against her point that she is simply trying to give Godou proper guidance. This leads to Godou going with Mariya later that day to buy a cellphone, so that she will be able to contact Godou when ever she needs to. Although it is clear that Mariya is going to call Godou for other things than just to give him “advice”.

Then at the end of the episode we receive a bit of foreshadowing about a new enemie. First off Liliana is back, and it appears that she is still seeking the Gorgoneion. Also Salvatore Doni, contacts Godou telling him about another Campione is in Japan. He advises Godou to fight him so that they can have a rematch. Lastly it appears that Godou doesn't have a choice to fight him or not considering that he has kidnapped Mariya, that a battle between the two is unavoidable at this point. Another interesting point is that it appears that Liliana is serving Dejanstani Voban willingly, it will be interesting to see how Godou saves Mariya from Voban.
