Even-though the
plot revolves around this spy that has invaded Kusaribe village, that
isn't the true focus of the plot. This plot is use as nothing more
than a back drop for Hakaze struggle with her feelings for Yoshino.
The simple truth is that she wants to love him, but she knows that
she shouldn't. Also on the other end of things Samon is trying to use
this situation to expose Yoshino as the Mage of Exodus. There is a
bit of question on this because it is uncertain if Samon secretly
hopes that he is because he finds the current on lacking, that it
would be better if Yoshino was the Mage of Exodus. It is truly hard
to say want Samon truly wants because at this point it seems
pointless. The reason is that even if it turn out to be true, that
fact would still remain that Hakaze would still be in love with
Yoshino. Perhaps that is what he is hoping for to use Yoshino to
force her to turn against the tree of genesis.
Although it is
still very likely that Aika although dead could have been the mage of
Exodus. One of the things that point to this end is that Aika choose
books to represent both Mahiro and Yoshino. Like she already knew
when she was going to die, and she was preparing a path for them once
she is gone. That if she is really dead, that would also explain why
the tree of genesis couldn't find her killer. That would only be for
normal people or the one's the served it. However if Aika serve the
tree of exodus, that would explain why the tree of genesis couldn't
find her killer. In the same way it has no control over Megumu.
Although getting
back to the point of the spy, Hakaze tries to prepare for him placing
restriction on the town. However it turns out that one of the
children didn't listen because she wish to see her friend that past
and hopes that it was his ghost that was being seen. This results in
her being captured by the spy. Although with the bridge out it seems
that the only way to save her would be to use magic, but that would
be the very same thing that the spy would want. Then to prevent this
Yoshino slides across the cable to get to the other side, but in the
end he was unable to prevent Hakaze from using magic. Even-though she
had to use it to save his life. Then with this Hakaze realize that
she can't help but to love Yoshino, that what ever is going to happen
will happen. Although this doesn't change Samon forces mind that
Yoshino could still be the mage of Exodus.
