Although initially
we are lead to believe that this episode was going to be about saving
Sakurasou, in a way it is but on a deep level it is about Ryounosuke
and what made him the way he is. Things start out with they trying to
get student signatures to save Sakurasou, however it does turn out so
well so far. The reason being is that they need two-thirds of the
students to Sign but the third years are not in school currently,
that means that they are going to need everyone from first and second
year to sign. Which looks doubtful since most of the student don't
care because it really doesn't effect them in any way. This lead to
Ryounosuke showing up and informing Kanada of why they are tearing
down Sakurasou. The School believe that Sakurasou is a poor influence
on Mashiro and she is wasting her talent by drawing Manga. That by
destroying Sakurasou they will leaded her back down her rightful
path. This means that the easy way to remove to problem is if Mashiro
leaves, and the fact is that Kanada doesn't want anyone to leave.
This cause
Ryounosuke to remind Kanada of the truth, that even if they do save
Sakurasou it still wouldn't be the same as it is now. The fact is
that Jin and Misaki are graduating. Then there is also the fact that
Nanami is leaving so as well, because if she passed then she will be
moving in with the Seiyuu agency. On the other hand if she fail then
she will be moving back to Osaka. That even if Kanada does succeed in
saving Sakurasou, it would still not change the reality that next
year the only ones left there will be Mashiro, Sorata, and himself.
Ryounosuke feels that he should really look back on what he really
should be doing with his time. However although Sorata understand
what Ryounosuke is saying, it does change the fact that they still
want to save it. Ryounosuke also reminds Sorata that he can't
confront the school about their reason, because they information was
illegally obtained. There is also they fact that it is doubtful that
it would change anything. This solid truth is made all the more real
for Sorata when Nanami gets her letter from the agency telling her
that she is rejected, and this makes it clear that Nanami really
won't be here next year.
The from here
there is a bit more focus on Ryounosuke on why he isn't doing
anything to help. This is made clear when Rita hears about what is
going on there from Mashiro. Then in knowing the trouble that
Ryounosuke is facing, she tries to contact him. Although he won't
answer, but after awhile she gets a bit of Ryounosuke story on why he
is at Sakurasou. That in middle school he tried to make a game with
some friends but the end up abandoning him because of his high
expectation of them. Then from hearing this Rita can related to what
he went through because she went through something similar with
Mashiro. Although she believe that it would be a mistake on his part
to not protect Sakurasou, because he finally has a place where he
belong and people accept him. Then after she has a talk with him, he
goes about creating a website to help with the gathering of
signatures. Now it seems that everyone's on board to save Sakurasou,
however the ending was a bit ominous from Mashiro. It could be that
she is planning to sacrifice herself to save Sakurasou in case that
don't get enough signatures. There is another direction they could go
in, by having Sorata and Mashiro rent an apartment together with
Ryounosuke. This would make where even if Sakurasou is destroyed, the
school will fail in trying to obtain it's object but it doubtful that
they would end the series that way.
