Things return to when Tear is trying
to materialize her weapon and as expected she turns herself into
dragon because she so believes that she is one. This cause problems
because she loses her sense of self and is no-long aware of what she
is doing. This forces Lisa and Yuu to do the only thing that the can
do. That is to forcefully dismissing Tears Materialization by
defeating the dragon. However this puts a strain on Tear where she
needs to sleep off the fatigue.
Then while Yuu is putting Tear in bed
he has a run in with Honoka the other D that arrived here with Tear.
This lead to Yuu developing a bit a friendship with her as he
supports her in her attempts to fit in. Although it is interesting
that after this meeting he gets a call from his former boss Loki
informing him about Kili is coming to retrieve Tear. It seems likely
that Honoka is Kiri since it would be easy to infiltrate the island
since she is a D. That only time with tell if the assumition is true.
This leads to focus of the rest of the
episode why Yuu is trying to give Tear a reason to choose to be
human. Since to Yuu Kiri represents what happens when a D choose to
be a dragon, while everyone at the academy represents what happens
when a D chooses to remain a human. That Yuu believe that if Tear
meets Kiri now it is possible that she would choose to go with her.
This is why them playing on the beach is so important because it
represents to Tear what it would mean to choose to be human. Since it
is clear it is almost impossible to convince her that she is but
instead place an emphasis on choice. Then what she believe she is
become irrelevant and the real issue become what she will choose.
However it seems that it won't be long before she is force to choose.
