Magical Warfare - ep04

It seems like in the end Mui ask the fortune teller for something different that what Kurumi ask her for, which is reasonable if you recall how obsessed she is over her brother. This leads to the main focus of this episode that revolves around getting Mui back since she has once again gone after her brother. Which before they do anything themselves they try to get the teachers to help Mui but it doesn't look like they really care, by stating that nothing can be done until Shijou Momoka returns. This leads to Takashi taking action on his own, which is for the most part the correct decision because by time Shijou returns it will probably be to late for Mui.

That in going to rescue Mui, we also discover why Ida so faithfully follows behind Takashi. It seems that in the past Takashi save his little sister, and in return Ida feels indebted to Takashi. Which is why he will give his unwavering support to anything that Takashi decides to do. This sense of debt show itself later in battle. That at on point in the fight, Takashi would been taken out by Tsuganashi if Ida didn't push him out of the way. Ultimately he end taking the hit that was ment for Takashi but in the end Takashi repays this by freeing him after he reached Mui. That together all four of them were able to defeat Tsuganashi but they couldn't bring him back with them with the arrival of Washizu Kippei. Which might be the leader of the Ghost Trailers or at least someone of vast importance.

Now with the return to the school they are face with the consequences of their actions, but all Momoka wants from them is an agreement from them that they will not leave the school grounds again. However Takashi can't agree to this because he knows that Mui will not stop until she gets her brother back, which will also lead to having to chase after her again. It seems like Momoka see his reason and is will to give them the chance to earn the right to leave the school, but as this is going on. It seems that the ghost trailers are preparing to take action of their own. It also gives us the identity of the traitor that leaded Mui into the trap which was Violet-sensei. Although it also seems that Takashi's action has gotten Kippei attention and he now wants to know the identity of the person that is wielding twilight.

Nobunaga the Fool - ep04

It seems that all this Shinki allow Nobunaga to do is force the fight to end in a draw by having each of them reach their limit. However it appears that they end the fight quickly to get to the main issue at hand, Nobunaga being wed to Himiko. Although to Nobunaga it doesn't really matter, that it really is just a means to an end. While the Lord of Owari see as a way to strength their defenses, that it will be useful to keep invaders at bay. Then there are the councilmen that desire the wedding be with Nobukatsu rather than Nobunaga, probably because they can control him unlike Nobunaga. Then there is Jeanne that is displeased with the thought of him getting married. That in the end Da'Vinci was able to create a comprise by introducing a west concept, that have the be engaged rather than wed strait a way. This pleases most parties except Himiko because she believe that she had Nobunaga trapped but now he has a possible way out.

Once everything has been resolved, everything else largely seems to focus in on how this will effect Nobunaga's relationship with Jeanne. However on troubling this is how quickly Himiko found out that Jeanne is really a woman, this seem to hint at the fact that it is only a matter of time before the truth is revealed. You also have the fact that Ichihime also probably knows now but will not say anything because she believes that Nobunaga has his reasons. That it seems that there will be a bit of love triangle between Nobunaga, Himiko, and Jeanne. The last issue that is related to this is when Mitsuhide pulls the fourth card the magician. That it hints at Nobunaga will eventually gain control over all the elements, but because it is the reverse magician it symbolize the it is still too early for him. What this means is that through Himiko he has gained wind, this would mean that Himiko is to symbolize the tiger. Then this means that Jeanne's Shinki is wood because she is probably meant to symbolize the blue dragon. This is also why there is tension between the two because the dragon and tiger are polar opposite drawn to always fight each but with neither ever being victorious.

Log Horizon - ep17

Now as Minori is leading the counter-offensive against the goblins, the real drama is happening back at the castle. The reason for this is that there is a bunch of political games going on. The adventures know that the lords of Eastal need their help because the knights of Izumo have vanished. That here we have clear mention of what happened to them, that it wasn't just the adventures that were affect by the apocalypse. That without the knights the only choice that they really have is to rely on the adventures, but there pride will not let them because they view the adventures as being beneath them because they are not even citizens. While the adventures are trying to remain as neutral as possible, which is difficult because they want to help. While they also feel a degree of responsibility for this crisis because they didn't defeat the goblin king before he was crowned.

In the end this dead-lock was broken by Lady Lenessia, that it is through her interaction with Crusty that allow her to take this step. That during the conference between the lords of Eastal and the adventures, things are not going well because they want to use the adventures as tools. While the adventures need act carefully because this interaction will determine their future relationship. That what it come down to is that the adventures don't have any obligation to do anything nor do the lords have the power to force them to act. That it is only Lady Lenessia that takes the proper course of action by deciding to go to Akihabara to request help for the adventures as equals. Then each adventure has to freedom to choose for themselves whether to help or not. That with this action is seems that Lenessia is going to be permanently place in Akihabara as Eastal representative, and with it she will get her freedom.

No-rin - ep03

Now this rivalry between Minori and Ringo over Kousaku is being taken to another level. It seems that Minori is taking a preemptive strike against Ringo by getting rid of all of Kousaku's Yuka merchandize. Although supposedly this was done under the order of his mother but it probably didn't brother her in the least to do it. However she tries to make the case that it is for his own good because it would creep Ringo out if she ever had to see all this stuff, that it's better for him that it is gone. Then this leads to the fact that she is going to have a competition against Ringo tomorrow to see if she is fit to be in their school, but in reality Minori is just trying to drive her competition away.

When the actual competition does take place she tries various things to drive Ringo to quit but they all kind of back-fire on her when Minori takes all these challenges stoically. First she tries to embarrass her by having both of them in bikini cos-play for the competition, but to this doesn't effect Ringo in the least. Then in the actual competition she is expecting Ringo to be unwilling to remove bugs from the plants. It ironic that Minori the one that try to use bugs to scare Ringo is scared of them herself. Which ultimately leads to Ringo's victory because of Minori's inability to deal with insects.

Then with the first victory under her belt this leads to another competition the next day. This one is rice planting competition. That before things can get underway Ringo needs some lessons on what to do. After being show how she still doesn't quite understand how deep to put them in, so it is suggest that Kousaku assist her in the competition. However this is reject by Minori because she is displeased with how close they would be. Things are settle by giving Ringo a bit of lead rather than having Kousaku assist her. In the end it doesn't take long for things to go down hill when Ringo knocks Minori down accidental. This leads to Minori believing that this was a fake accident, which cause her to retaliate. This action cause the competition to degraded down into a mud-wrestling competition. Which concludes the competition with no real winning. That in the end Ringo wins because everything else was a draw.

Magical Warfare - ep03

Now with things settling down, they use this opportunity to explore Isoshima's and Mui's character. This is explored through their love for Takeshi, this also leads to revealing the nature of Gekkou's hatred for him. That in reality it seems that Takeshi isn't really Kurumi's boyfriend it just that he is acting like one to keep the other men away because of they way the men around her end up lusting after. Which in the end ultimately led to her having a really bad experience, which led to being her fake boyfriend so that he could prevent something like that happening again. Then as things turns out Gekkou is one of the people that happens to be lusting after her and see Takeshi's action as a betrayal. This gives us the back-story to both Takeshi and Kurumi's relationship. However when Mui learns of their relationship she start to distance herself from Takeshi even-though she doesn't know that they aren't really dating.

This ultimately leads to Takeshi learning about Mui's situation here at the school and why she was resistant to the idea of him joining Wizard Breath. It seems that in this world there are 50 magical community and of those fifty there are seven that are the most prominent. That one of those is Wizard Breath but it is Wizard Breath that view Ghost Trailers the most harshly. That through this relationship Tsuganashi is seen as a traitor, and because he is her brother she is ultimately seen as a traitor as well. That with this connection reveal, Mui's story resonates with Takeshi with how he is seen as a traitor by his brother. This also gives reason behind her action why she is trying to be so friendly to Takeshi and his friends, especially to Kurumi. That in the end Takeshi tries to fix this by making a mend with Mui, by breaking up with Kurumi to stop her from being so distant.

Although this breakup does stop Mui from being so distant from Takeshi, it also cause the reverse effect within Kurumi by causing her to distance herself from Takeshi. Which ultimately cause her to endanger herself because without Takeshi's protection the men with start approaching her again. It doesn't take long for this to happen and when she turns down her first new suitor. He doesn't take so well but is surprised when she breaks down when he touches her to stop her from leaving. Then Takeshi appears to prevent things from getting worse. This also leads to Takeshi mending fences with Kurumi. That in the end it shows that Kurumi longs to be in a real relationship with Takeshi but that will never happen as long as they remain fake lovers. While it seems like Mui is realizing her feeling for Takeshi so it seem that we have a love triangle forming. The question is how will this impact the story, and there is also the issue on why Ida stayed behind in this world since he doesn't need Takeshi's for protection like Kurumi does.

Nobunaga the Fool - ep03

It seem that the current ruler of Owari, Nobunaga's father is not so willing to accept his eldest son's decision to accept his decision of taking in these foreigners. That in the end Nobunaga sees it as pointless to argue with his father, that he is going to do what ever he wants. However he tries to argue his case by sending Mitsu, but it turns out to be fruitless attempt. It seems that they only thing that will change his mind is results, because the Lord of Owari believe them to be spies sent from Takada. Although it doesn't take long for an opportunity to a raise for them to prove their worth, with Takada once again attacking.

Unfortunately Nobunaga's Giant War Armor isn't ready so he has to go out with out it. However this doesn't mean that he isn't prepared to deal with the enemy's armors. That the armors can be stopped by send an arrow in between the slots on the armor to kill the pilot directly rather than trying to destroy the armor itself. Then when Nobunaga is running low on arrows does Jeanne or rather Ranmaru show up with more arrows for Nobunaga because he didn't think ahead enough. Although it is not long after this that Hideyoshi arrives with Nobunaga's armor.

Now inside his armor it doesn't take long for Nobunaga to start tearing into his enemy. However his assault is stop by the arrival of Takada Shingen the enemy general wanting a one on one match with Nobunaga. That it is in this fight that we see the short coming of “The Fool” because it doesn't have a device called a Shinki and this device supposedly allows the armor to use magic. Since his enemy is able to manipulate fire and wind at will. Although he can't control it once it set something a blaze, which puts Ranmaru in danger when she goes out to save some children from the fire that is burning around their home.

That in end she freezes up because it reminds her of the vision she has had of being burnt alive. However she is saved by Nobunaga after he has retreated for his battle. Although it seems that he didn't just save her out of heartfelt compassion but he want to by some time because to him the current weather seems unnatural. That he was right because the storm was cause by Himiko no Yamatai, and she wanted to show off her Shinki to Nobunaga so that he would agree to her terms. In reality Nobunaga doesn't have a choice because without it Shingen will kill him. Nobunaga doesn't give it much thought and the way she worded seems like all she wanted was ally herself with Owari so it wouldn't be his problem by his fathers. It isn't until all is said and done that he realize what Himiko meant by bond, that she phrased it that why so he wouldn't realize that term was their betrothal. Now that he said it he can't really go back on his word. It clear now with his ability to use lighting that he will win or at least force Shingen to retreat. The question is how will this complicate Nobunaga's life.

Log Horizon - ep16

Now they are tying together various plot threads, the thing motivating this is the massive ambush by monsters that they suffered under last episode. First you have the cause of this attack, seems to be the result of the failure to complete a special quest. Accord to Shiroe in this world there is a quest that happens twice a year. That it is the crowning of the goblin king, that the quest last a week and within this week they must defeat the king before this happens or else the goblin will more difficult to defeat. However it seem with the adventures focus in on improving the lives of everyone else in Akihabara they neglected to do any quests even one as important as this.

Now with a serious battle on the horizon, this force Shiroe to reveal what he learn from Regan. That they will lose some of their memories when they die, and with Crusty help he is able to identify which memories are lost. It seems that they lose the memories of the real world each time that they die, this is a problem because if they die enough times then Eldar tale will be their reality. Although the answer to this is simple enough you just have to avoid dying and there will be no memory loss. Also it brings forth the question about Izumo knights, that they seems to be missing. It could be that they were wipped out by the Goblin kings forces or the were erased by apocalypse. That the ones in the greatest danger from the Goblin kings forces are the people of the land.

That it will probably be the Goblin King that will allow for a treaty to be formed between the adventures and the people of the land. The issue of the Goblin King might also be where Shiroe will start experimenting with the high branches of magic that Regan talk about. Final you have the training party that has been the focus the last couple of episodes is going to be on the front-line because the first target that the Goblin King has is choushi with is the closest town to where they have been training at. That they will have to hold them here until reinforcements arrive.

No-rin - ep02

Now with the second half of the introduction, they have Kousaku being appointed as the one to show her around. However what kind of funny is that Kinoshita Ringo is not fooling anyone as who she real is, which makes thing amusing when Kousaku is appointed to show her around because everything he does is over the top. That it will be interesting to see how the show gets Kousaku's character to shift from seeing Ringo as Yuka Kusakabe to connect with her as a real person and not someone put on a pedestal.

Although it is very clear Ringo's reason for coming to this farming school is Kousaku, it is likely that she came her to be closer to him. However it will be interesting to see how she came about this decision, since it is quite likely that she force the school to put her as close to Kousaku as possible. That it probably wasn't the school that decide that he would show her around but Ringo herself that cause this to happen as well as arranging for her to be place in the same dorm as Kousaku. Even-though there are some hints at this fact as he is showing her around, it becomes blatantly obvious when they decide to play the king game. That in the game he keeps getting the king and keeps trying to pick Ringo but Minori is always misleading which result in always picking her until Ringo become the king. That first she bluntly ask what his numbers is so she won't make the mistake that he did. All of this was to have Kousaku call her only by her first name disregarding all formalities.

What didn't make a lot of sense is the whole skit about washing of underwear. How things went from Kousaku helping her out to Minori getting involved. Possibly it was to show the budding love triangle but this building tension was disturbed by Kei invading with his own phlosy on the value of underwear. Then things get strange from there on in, but it seems that they still don't really know how to act around Ringo since a lot of their action seem kind of forced.

Magical Warfare - ep02

Now with this second episode it seems like it is the second half of the introduction into the series. One of the first things they go into detail on is the nature of this ruin world and how it connects to the real world that exists without magic. It appears that 16years ago which according to the story is one year before each of Takashi's group is born, there was a war between Ghost trailers and 15 other magical groups. That the leader of the Ghost trailers Ryuusenji Kazuma cast a massive spell in his final moments that who of destroyed the world if it wasn't for the 15 other clans. They cast another spell to counter Ryuusenji's spell which resulted in splitting the world in two. That is the nature of these two world that at one time they were whole but to prevent the spreed of damage to the entire world it was contain with in this ruined world leaving the other half untouched by Ryuusenji actions. This also leads into the issue of the gift, that is was cause by a spell that cast in the other world to prevent magic from being used on people that aren't involved.

Now with the workings of the world explained Shijou Momoka gives them a choice to give up their magic and return to their previous lives or remain here while learning more about magic. It is very similar to the question that existed in the Matrix movies, do you which for the blue pill or the red pill. In the end Takashi choosing to stay but he true motives behind this choice is unclear. Did he make it of the desire to escape his family, maybe out of his desire to further protect Miu, or maybe he feels that Ghost trailers must be stop for their to be place for him to return to. Which ever was the motivating factor in his decision it causes Ida to choose to stay behind to support Takashi in his decision. While Isogami stays behind because she doesn't want the distance between herself and Takashi increasing further. That with their decision to stay it leads them into join the school, and it seems the first step to getting settled in is getting their class decide. Since they are all beginners they will be put into class-C and because of Miu's actions she is getting demoted to class-C as well.

This goes into class introduction, where the first step in becoming a mage is obtaining control over your Ancestral Magic and you control it with your aspect. The others had their aspect but it seems that Evasion magic doesn't start with an aspect that is why Takashi doesn't have. This is where he has Miu take Takashi to get his Aspect. It ends with him not just getting any aspect from the manager of the armory. That after Takashi explaining that he practiced kendo, that he would like a katana. He gets handed what he ask for, but it happens to be a sword that inscribed with a magical seal. The problem is that he might lose an arm if the swords magic is in conflict with his own, but the manager doesn't give him a chance to decline and attack him to forcefully awaken takashi magic while activating the magical swords magic as well. Thing turn out alright because he doesn't lose an arm it just that he needs more training to effectively use the sword. Now we might get back to the action next episode since everyone is now settled into their new life.

Nobunaga the Fool - 01 & 02

Now with this series we have another parody on the history of Oda Nobunaga. What is interesting is how they are bring in western historical like Leonard da Vinci, Jeulius Caesar, John of Ark. That it is kind of cool how they are bring in sci-fi elements as well making the warriors suits of armors into mechs, while having the sociological split between east and west being isolate to separate planets. Which you have to travel between through the use of a space ship.

The first episode revolves around introduction of the key characters, but it mainly focus in on the driving force that motivate Leonardo da Vinci and Jeanne D'arc to travel to the east. Another interesting fact is that each episode is going to be defined by the Taro card that Leonardo has Jeanne choose and in this episode she pulls the star. Which signifies their travel to the eastern star. While the events define where in Nobunaga's history does our story begins. That he is out hunting to avoid going to his brothers coming of age ceremony, but in doing do he see an assault plan by Takada that was intended to test Owari's defense. While at around the same time Leonardo plans to make their descent down to the planet.

This is where the second half of the being pick up after the battle has end Nobunaga comes across where Leonardo has land with his prized armor. This is when Nobunaga gets inside it out of curiosity, which ironically he is given an opportunity to test it with the approach of the two armors that the west sent out to retrieve it. That with his victory it lead to Leonardo and Jeanne becoming his underlings. Which isn't as much of a problem with Leonardo but with Jeanne it is an issue because of someone called Ichihime. Where it is likely from Mitsuhide's reaction the she is like his fiance, that once the return to the castle Leonardo has Jeanne choose another card and this time it is the lovers card. Does this mean that Ichihime is Nobunaga's lover even though she is his sister or does it implies that Jeanne herself with become Nobunaga's. Anyways what will be interesting to see is if their lives will come to an end the same way it does in history or does Jeanne coming her change both Nobunaga fate as well as her own.

Log Horizion - ep15

Now with everything that they reveled last time it seems the focus is shifting to the other side of the field where the training camp is be going on. That for the past couple episode the training camp has been taking the back seat while Minori struggles with bring everyone together. That most of the episode is about this, how she got the courage to speak up and get to know one another so that they can truly begin work as a team. That once she achieved this Minori was able to be proud in reporting their progress back to Shiroe. That this also serves another purpose of raising Shiroe's spirits because he is deeply trouble about the information that Regan revealed to him last time because to show to him how little he knows about their situation. However through talking with Minori he is able to see that he should be enjoying life, and not being overwhelmed by his troubles.

Although as the episode is reaching it's conclusion there are new problems a rising with Isuzu in ability to register Rudy as a friend. Which could mean two things, either that function has been lost with what happen with the apocalypse. However what is more likely is that he isn't really an adventure but belong to the people of the land. That it might not be that he doesn't want to join a guild but it that he can't join one, because if he is a low level player like the others why didn't Hamelin capture him like the Minori and the others. Ultimately this issue is overshadow by the invasion of enemy on the beach, where it is being overrun. The question is why this is happening and does this having anything to do with Rudy. How will they deal with this problem, and will the adventures be able to create an agreeable contract with Lord Sergiatte.
