Now things are coming to an end as they approach Artesium. That to end this secret chamber there are three ways in. The first being within the city itself, this is not an option. This leave the two other paths one is locate inside a small temple and the last is located inside a local graveyard that is located near the city. In the end Tigre's group heads for the temple because it is closer. Then as things are entering into their final phases of preparation, people begin to look toward what will happen once everything is over. The most important of these is Tigre's heading to Zhcted once everything is over, which is part of the reason that Bertand travels with Tigre and Regin since this is be the last time he will be able to serve Tigre. This also prompts Eleonora to join as well which turns out to be a good thing concerning what they encounter underground.

Then as things turn out Thenardier was expecting them to make this move which is why he ends up meeting by traveling down the other remaining path that was located outside the city. That in this battle great tragedy strikes when the cave began to collapse which forces everyone to flee but before Tigre can he is almost struck down but Bertand shields him and in the aftermath we see that the soldier that almost killed Tigre dies in the cave in. However both Tigre and Bertand are fine expect for the fact that he is dying from the fatal wound he received from protecting Tigre. That in his final moments we find out his last regret in life how he was unable to save Tigre's father Urs. Although in his death he feels that he was able to redeem himself by saving Tigre. That as Tigre Morns he opens up the enclosesed space so that he can reground with the others. The question at the end of everything is will Tigre find the strength to stand up again to finish what he started or will the weight of Bertrand death crush him.
