Shingeki no Kyojin - ep05

Overall plot wise the isn't much development because the past couple episode have been building up to this confrontation. Things start out with Eren fighting the colossal titan, but he discovers a few things. One of these is that the titan might be more intelligent than they appear to be since this one target the gate while also intentional destroying the cannons that were place along the wall. Although just before he could kill it, the colossal titan disappears into thin air. Now the the Colossal titan gone, Eren and the others are force to go back to base to prepare for the coming invasion. However so people aren't prepared for what is happening and are panicking than it is only through Eren dedication to wipe out the titans that he cause them to pull together. It seems that Mikasa is panic as well but not because of the attack but because she is going to separated from Eren, but he force her to get it together.

Now when they began the counter-attack, things don't go as well as Eren expects since one of his friends is quickly taken out. That in his anger he tries to get revenge on this one titan but during this chase his comrades slowly are taken out one by one. Until only a few remains of his original squad, but while he paying attention to this sole titan he isn't prepared for the one that takes him by surprise  This results in him losings a leg. Although as our hero is crippled, his friend Armin is crippled by fear and is almost swallowed whole by a titan. However before it can finished the job Eren trades place with him and loss an arm as he is devoured by the titan unable to get his revenge. This is surprising since our hero has appear to have died in his first battle but the question remains is he truly gone, because in anime just because you die it doesn't mean that you stay dead. Another issue is what will Mikasa do when she finds this out.
