Log Horizion - ep23

Now for the most part this episode was a lot like the last one with very little in way of plot development, and more on character development. First you have Henrietta developing as another of Shiroe potential love interest along side with Akatsuki and Minori. Then you have the blatant appearance of Marie affection for Naotsugu, rather than it being expressed as a personality quark. Then lastly you have Minori making strides to improve Shiroe's self image by helping Karashin out with his paperwork. It isn't until the end that we see the real important of the festival.

It seems that someone is using this festival as a cover to invade Akaharaba. It seems that all of this is going to connect with the other user of world magic as well as the other city call Minami that was mention earlier. It is also curious if this action is being leaded by Minami or if one of the lord of the neighboring lands is enlisting Minami to aid them in their take over of Akaharaba. It seems likely that the plot could end on a decent point in the next couple of episode ending the series without the need for a sequel or thing will go in the direction that this is only the end of the beginning that there is much more of the story to tell.

No-rin - ep09

The episode was interesting because it was misleading, in the beginning everything seem to point to it being a beach episode. Where they are making all these plans to go to the beach for Minori sake because she has never been. However misfortune strikes when a typhoon comes ruining their plans, this drive Minori crazy which cause her to run out into the rain when Kousaku comments that it looks like a sea out there because of the flooding. This cause a chain of event to unfold where everyone gets caught up in Minori madness in believe that they are on the beach. Although brought back to their sense later on when they realize what this weather will do to the rice fields.

The rest of the episode revolves around their efforts to save the rice fields instead of their disappointment on being unable to go to the beach. However most of this goes smoothly until Yoshida bring to Kousaku's attention that there is something serious wrong with D-class's field. It seems that Kanegami has gotten greedy again and planted a fast grown crop of rice but the problem is that the stock are too tall now and will be destroyed by this fierce storm. In the end Kousaku come up with a plan the save them by using the schools mini-bus to shield them from most of the winds. In the end for their effort to save the fields the school rewards them by giving them a free trip to the beach. Although it ends ironically because on the way their another Typoon hits preventing Minori once again from reaching to beach.

Magical Warfare - ep09

Now with the awakening of Kazama, the war begins a new. Also this leads to the first causality of the new war, Subura which is were the ghost trailers strike first. Then when the fight breaks out everyone has their own priorities. Ida is concern for his sisters safety but he is knock unconscious before he can reach her. While Mui is worry about her brother but it seems this concern is unnecessary because he come to her rescue when she is ambushed during her search. Lastly you have Takeshi going after Gekkou, the reason being is he wants to confirm his fears about his brother. It seems the his fears are justified, it seems likely there is no hope for these brothers to make amends. The reason being is that Gekkou doesn't see that Takeshi actions as an accident but intentional, as long as this view remains unchanged his grudge will never die. This is why he is alined with the ghost trailers, not because their goals but it will allow him to exact his vengeance on Takeshi. This is also why he let Takeshi live at the end of their confrontation, because Gekkou wants him to suffer knowing that he has stole everything that he loved. Now at the end everything look very bleak with Towa and Kurumi stolen by Gekkou while Subaru is now in ruins, it seems for the most part that Wizard breath is done for. However this is just the beginning of the end since from now thing are going get more interesting as thing build toward the final conclusion between Wizard Breath and Ghost Trailers, it also seems that the most define moments towards this end is the rematch between Gekkou and Takeshi.

Nobunaga the Fool - ep08

In the aftermath of the battle with Takada Shingen, so far the only real problem that Caesar clams cause Nobunaga is that it allowed him to take possession of Takada in their desire to avenge their fallen lord. The other issue is the theft of wind Shinki that Shingen was going to pass on to Nobunaga, although ironically even with Caesar backstabbing it is useless to Caesar because it won't serve him because it has already been given to Nobunaga even-though he isn't currently in possession of it, that doesn't mean it isn't his. Which ultimately means that Caesar is going to have to kill Nobunaga before it will serve him. Which set up there inevitable show down.

Then as thing are possesding towards this clash Jeanne has a vision of Nobunaga death, which leads her to seek council from Da Vinci. He conveys to her that the future she saw will mostly likely happen although there is a possibility that it can be avert if she takes action to change the future. This leads to her question what she can do to change this future as other are perparing to go to war against the Takada. Which lead to Nobunaga confronting Caesar, then to do this they begin their plan to draw the Takada army away from Caesar so that Nobunaga can face him head on with out others getting in the way.

Although the duel doesn't go so well for Nobunaga because Caesar forces him to fight on his terms, rather than in close combat. However he could adept to Caesar style because of the Fire Shinki he got from Shingen allow his armor to transform into something that is ridable. In the end end even though Nobunaga could adapt to Caesar style it wasn't enough to over come him because he was allowing Caesar to direct the pace. Then in the moment that Jeanne for saw happen and when it did she rush to Nobunaga's aid but in the process was almost done in by Caesar. However with her intervention it allow for the Shiki in her possession to give it's protection to Nobunaga. This allow him to turn the tides of battle in his favor. Now with the strength of these three Shinki it cause the fourth one that Caesar stole to leave his grasp and return to it intend owner. That with this Shinki lost Caesar is force to retreat. It doesn't mean he won't be back, it also raise the question to what extent are his action the will of King Arthur. Largely it seem that his action seem to be driven his own personal agenda. This issue because if they are how will King Arthur deal with Caesar and will he get to him before Nobunaga does.

Log Horizon - ep22

It seems that the final arc will be focus on Akiharaba during it festival. Although it is hard to say if this is really it's finale or that the writers just wish to end the series with a bit of fluff before starting on the sequel to the series. However it is hard to say at this point because the series has always been subtle in revealing to point of the arc instead of making it clear from the beginning. While now it seems that things are focusing back in on Shiroe and how he is going to grow into his role as a guild master and how he handles things when there isn't a crisis going on. It seems that this has leaded him into being a bit of recluse shutting himself in working on the paperwork from both his guild and the round table.

That it take Hernietta approaching him about how he should use this festival to become closer to his guild members. That he should take a break and enjoy the festival. This also set the stage for Shiroe's developing love triangle between Akatsuki and Minori even though he is mostly ignorant of their feelings for him. This leads to Minori asking Shiroe to go with her to a cake viking, it also seem like Akatsuki had the same thought going through her head. This leads to him going with both of them, although ironically Shiroe was the one doing most of the eating.

That it is only later that night when Minori see Shiroe's and Akatsuki together to she realize her own feeling that she is in love with Shiroe. Then now the race is on to see who can win Shiroe's affection. However it is kind of strange that they are starting this now when the series is about to end, with all the unexplained mystery still being unexplored. That you have the growing issue with Minami as well as their special event the Demon Festival, as well as the mysterious woman from last episode the knew about his new form of magic. While also figuring out a way back home, as well as how they got trapped her in the first place. It seem like it would be difficult to cover all of this in the time they have left so it is likely that there is already plans for a sequel to the series because all the action seem likely they were laying the foundation for a larger story. That this is only the beginning of Shiroe's journey.

No-rin - ep08

After all this time the series is getting into exploring Becky-sensei's character, but in reality they are just using her for the butt of the Joke. The reason is that there is not much to explore in her character since she a woman past what she see as her prime, and is so obsessed with find a man that anyone will do which in many ways is very creepy. That in one of the skits in the beginning of the episode they portrayed her as a demon that will descend if you are enjoying your youth. That her presence is much like a curse to her students, where she exists to bring her students down. That she is the embodiment of the saying misery loves company and she is very lonely but has classroom filled with student to bring down with her. However they are explain the reason why despite her antics she has yet to be fired, because she seem to be a law-suit waiting to happen. Then as things turn out her father is a high ranking official in the government, so this mean for the school it doesn't matter what she does they are force to look the other way.  

Magical Warfare - ep08

Now things are getting complicate with the arrival of the new students. Although it is a bit of a surprise with the arrival of Ida's sister but the real issue is the appearance of Gekkou. What is particularly strange is the way he is making nice with Takeshi with his sudden change of heart, there is also the fact that he won't tell them how he became a mage. There is also the fact of the vision that Towa has been showing him are contradicts with the current Gekkou that trying make amends with his brother. This mostly like means that Gekkou is playing nice, so that he can get close to Takeshi. That when the opportunity arise his is in the prefect position to stab him in the back.

What also complicate matter is when Washizu approaches Takeshi about joining the ghost trailers. However he doesn't expect him to just join immediately, this is where he tell the ghost Trailers side of the war and how it was started. It turns out that Kazuma didn't like the way the world worked, how Wizards Breath only allow their members to use magic while persecuting any else that wasn't part of their little circle. Further more it seems like they were willing to blackmail anyone with real talent to force them to join, like they did to Kazuma and his parents die for his refusal. Now to this extent is seems that Ghost Trailers are the good guys but if that is true then what need was their to brainwash Mui's brother. There is also the issue that everything is point towards that Gekkou is part of the Ghost Trailers, that with their help he is seeking to destroy Takeshi. That it might not matter which side is good or evil because Takeshi might have to join Wizard Breath simply because Gekkou join the other side. The other issue is who is in the right, and is there going to be a third option for Takeshi.
