Madan no Ou to Vanadis - ep09

While last time events focus on Tigre's actions while being seperated for Eleonora this time events focus on Eleonora. That through this we learn a bit about Sasha and Eleonora's relationship. That from the interaction between them in the beginning it appears that Sasha is the strongest out of all the war maiden or would at least would be if she wasn't ill. Which lead us to the reason that Eleonora is there, it seems that Elizaveta has a vendetta against her from a previous encounter when they where fighting pirates. That this is her justification for starting a war with Shasa although in concidering the timing it was done to provoke Eleonora. Since Elizaveta knows of Shasa's condition and is aware to Eleonora will come to her aid if she is threatened. This allows her to draw Eleonora into a fight without directly pursuing her.

The through the clash Eleonora learned something from Elizaveta, that if she had the time Eleonora so win however that is time she really doesn't have since Galelon has began to make his move but it is still unclear who he is moving against. Then there is also the fact that Brune is being invade by Muozinellen. That means Eleonora doesn't have the time to deal with her, although Elizaveta is willing to wait a year before resuming their conflict. That with these events it set the stage for Tigre future meeting with these two war maidens. That with this it returns us to Tigre's allaince with Ludamila Lourie in his battle against Mouzinellen invaders. Tigre's situation is dire even-though he has receive from Lourie since they have to resolve things in a single battle. That it seems Lourie is doing this to learn more about Tigre and understand the nature of his power that he use to break down her gate. The question is how will he use it this time around and will Eleonora make it for the battle or will she only arrive after everything is finished.

Amagi Brilliant Park - ep09

Now once again we have another random episode but this time it focus on the Elementario. It is interesting with focus being on them since the action is mostly center on Seiya and Izusu. That the whole plot is about how they don't really get along even though they work together on stage. This leads Latifa inviting them to Sukiyaki so that they can bond over a meal. It seems likely that Latifa set this trap up because she steps out because she doesn't have enough soy sauce. That concidering how important that soy sauce is to the Japanese this seems more planned. What make it feel more plan is how she tells them darkly about the one thing they must not do while she is gone is to not press the big red button. Then of course if you tell someone not to do something then you expontently increase the probability that the will do it. Then to prove this point as soon as Latifa leave Samala rush over to push the button. She does this to mess with Muse but in doing so cause her to overreact which cause a chain reaction which ironically leads to Muse being the one to press it when she was trying to prevent this very action.

This expresses what it control, it turns out to be the castle defense system which locks down the castle the deploying various cannons to assault anyone that comes too close. However it will shutdown in the next 24-hours, although Seiya find the choice of waiting unacceptable considering that doing so would ruin their image. This leads to him ordering everyone to invade to shut down this defense system. Which all ends in failure, that it turns out it can be shut down from inside by having the Elementario travel down a secret corridor. That by passing the four trails will allow them to gain access to the override switch. However it turns out that each of the trial requires all four to participate but also it turns out that each of the trails are aim towards exploiting one of their weakens. In the first one Samala who is can't sing is the weak link for karaoke. The second challenge Kobori is the weak link because she isn't a very good dancer. The third challenge Muse is the weak link because of her poor typing speed. That through the challenge the bond by having to rely upon one of the other to pick up the slack. In the end this is the emphasis of the last challenge because they all had to trust that they would choose to sacrifice themselves so that no one would die. That with this the clear the last hurtle which allows them to shut down the defense system but in doing so they also bond over their shared experience.

Hitsugi no Chaika Avenging Battle - ep08

Now we are get even closer to a conclusion with the final clash of various sides. First it is clear that the completion is nothing but a fares since they are being pull out of the competition for various reasons. The red chaika was just deceived, then Vivi was taken out because of her association with her squad, lastly white chaika was taken out because of Toru and Akari infiltration. That this all was done for black chaika's amusement. Since she intents to pit them up against one another. That the only one that is running free is Akari and Fredrica but that doesn't last long when they run into Shin.

First is placing Vivi against Gillette. That it is through this battle that they try to have him remember who he is but it is interesting who the fortunes cookies told of their fate. Also you have the fact that Vivi has to cut of Gillette hand to bring him back to his sense and in a way this hold true to the fortune. That once he unsheathes his sword he will never be able to sheath it again, and this is why he returns when Vivi forcefully cause him to drop his sword. Then you have the resolution between white and red. That with this battle cause Red Chaika to resign from the fight out of concern for her ally. That in the end the White Chaika turns out to be the victor.

Although this doesn't last long with the appearance of Shin bringing the imprisoned Akari and Fredrica with him. Things are made worse when Toru can only hold off Shin which leads to Chaika becoming their prisoner as well. That all this is done to collect that last remaining piece that they posses, that with this it is likely that the Red Chaika wasn't as careful. Although the question is will Toru do as they ask. Then there is other issue as well with the question of is Hartgen really possessed by Gaz when he beheaded him or does he just believe that he is Gaz. Then there is the question of what they intend to do with the remains. The way things are going the only way that Toru will be able to defeat Shin by taking Fredrica up on her offer. The final question is will everything go as Black Chaika expects them to.

Trinity Seven - ep08

This episode functions mostly as a transition piece as well as building some character development. Initial for last time you would expect that Arata would focus solely on Selina's magic to bring back Liese. However Arata is final getting down to studying magic to know what it really is. That for this he ask help from the various members of the Trinity Seven. Although Lilith feels excluded since she is the only one that Arata doesn't go to for advice. In the end it is partly her fault since she is embarrassed by her theme being lust. That to force her to admit her vain of research they recap everyone else theme. In reality Lilith has nothing to be embarrassed about since your theme is the furthest thing from you.

Now Lilith become the main person to educated Arata on magic. That is to say most of the episode is fluff. Although they do touch on some important issue. That with Arata trying to mastery many different types of magic he raise the probability that he will turn into a monster and if that happen he will be something far worse than the dragon that they faced. The other major event is the headmaster temporary promoting Arata to Liese position as the number two in Grimoire Security. Then with that done they head off to investigate the destruction of one three great magic Academy. However thing go terribly wrong when the Headmaster warps them there. The question is what is the true nature of this Hijiri look alike and is this the person that Liese had a photo of. The other issue is how will Mira deal with being stuck with Arata.

Amagi Brilliant Park - ep08

This time around they focus in on Kanie's school life but they do it in a strange way with him falling ill. Then they have various people impersonate him while he is sick. That in the end it would have just been better if he just stayed home and the people from Brilliant Park didn't get themselves involved. First you have Izusu that impersonates him and this is the beginning of his problem because a love letter get delivered to Kanie's shoe box instead of the intended target Kimura. This leads to Izusu stepping down and passing the role to Macoron as they try and fix this failed love confession. Then after Macoron day as Kanie it gets passed to Tiramie after he gets involved in a fight. Things are not much better with Tiramie given his pervert nature. This ultimate leads to Moffle taking the role from Tiramie, however as expect Moffle creates his own problems. That in the end it is up to Kanie to fix things with him impersonating Kimura. Ultimately the whole problem is that Kanie allow them get involved in things they shouldn't haved in the first place but it was an interesting change of pace.  

Madan no Ou to Vanadis - ep08

Things continue from Roland's surrender and it seem that he isn't going to join Tigre however he is going to support him in his own way. That he is going to leave his sword Durandal to prove that Tigre cause is just while he goes to seek an audience with the king to clear things up. Then as this is being done his men will return to the western front to continue protecting Brune from invaders. Although on Roland's return he falls into a trap set by Ganelon and Thenardier is outraged by what he has done. That to Ganelon what is done is done, and he doesn't care all that much since his terriorty in the west is safe but the same can't be said about Thenardier which is located in the south which is facing an invasion by Muozinellen.

Now with things turning away from Brune's civil war and refocusing on invasion from other nations. Tigre is face with more problem now that Mouzinellen is invading but Eleonora is leaving as well to give support to her fellow War Maiden Sasha which is in no condition to protect her own territory. This shrinks Tigre's already small army even smaller and it is with this force of 2,000 that he will have to fight off the enemy army that is 20,000 strong. Then there is the fact that he can't use all of 2,000 and leave his territory undefended. This leads to a lot of ambushing tatics on Tigre part since he has no hope of winning in a directed confrontation.

Although a direct confrontation does happen when Mouzinellen start killing off their Brune prisoners. However this confrontation happen in an ideal way which allows for Tigre to eliminate the enemy commander. Which destroys them enemy's formation which force them to retreat. Then as things turn out that the force that Tigre defeated wasn't even the main force. That the main army is 30,000 strong and add to that the the remaining forces that rejoin the their army and Tigre is looking at facing an enemy that is 40,000 strong. Things are even worse considering that Tigre's men are exhausted from the previous engaments. Although things are look up on his next encounter with them against a squad of 4,000 since Ludmil Lourie joins the fight. That it looks like that she will be join Tigre's forces for a time since this battle has nothing to do with her non involvement in the Brune civil war and Zhcted is potential threatened by Mouzinellen army as Brune is.

Hitsugi no Chaika Avenging Battle - ep07

Things begin with Toru and Akari invading the waterways of Hartgen's castle, but they are intercepted by their all teacher Shin. Which is currently their greatest threat in completing their mission. What makes things worse is on their return they learn from Chaika about the interaction between Guy and Nivia. That with this it appears that Guy is work for Hartgen and what makes things worse is that all the remaining piece are in one place. Since it is also likely that Guy has brought the other Chaika here as well. This make the major issue of not just getting the remaining piece but keeping the ones they already have.

Although this time around we get to see into a bit of Hartgen's motivation. That he is disenchanent with the world he created, that he wish for war to return so that once it does he and many others will have a purpose once again. However it appears that he is just a puppet for the twin Chaika's elder sister. Then does this mean that she is the true master mind behind everything including Guy. However this creates contradiction since Izhmash declared that Chaika never existed so was the truth hidden from him or is this one just another Chaika that is being driven by the purpose she was created for. There is also the issue of why the three of them are even working together. Since up to this point the Chaika have been rivals.

Then you have the start of the tournament which most of the other participants aren't even a real threat to the three different groups. This leads up to the fact that the real enemy is Hartgen, and it is unlikely he will care through on his side of the deal. That during this tournament Toru ends up having his reunion with the new Vivi. That he informs her of various things about his encounters with Guy and that he is most likely working with Hartgen. Although interestingly enough he doesn't tell her to most important fact which is the truth about Chaika. Then in return she informs him about how he has two Chaika by his side. It seems that things are move towards a conclusion with all these opposing groups being brought closer. The question becomes what will happen when all the remain are brought together. Then as they come closer to the end it also raises the question of when Toru will accept Fredrica offer, and what will cause this line to be crossed.

Trinity Seven - ep07

Now with things returning to the brewing conflict between Liese and the headmaster. The headmaster force Liese to stand-down because of his grimoire Solomon's Gate will cause you to go insane if you stare at it too long but it can only be seen by people with enough power. Which in a way creates a contradiction because Liese can't use finesse to win against the headmaster because he is more experienced. Then on the other hand she can't use raw power because his grimoire will ultimately driver her insane. This lead to Liese using his only real weakens his libido which large the headmaster uses as an excuse to not fight Liese. Although it seems his real purpose for losing is to alert Arata to the arrival of Liese.

Then with Liese's arrival Arata feels a greater urgency to learn Mantra Enchantment from Akio. That in way it is ironic that only when they need it does Astil Codex inform them that it learn the process awhile ago. Since now Arata can use it Akio gives him a bit of advice before he heads off and that is her magic strength is determine by the strength of her feelings. What's also interesting about this is that Astil Codex has to take human form to allow Arata to use the magic but the question is why she never took this form before. Since it seem more convenient than having Arata talk to a book. Then from learning about Akio's magic it reveal a bit about her past also point out a single point that we real don't know anything about the Trinity Seven.

Now with Arata empowered he is able to arrive on time to prevent Liese make a move on the others that are still weakened from their previous encounter with Liese. That with his surprise attack he is able to get back the magic that Liese stole from him but the interesting point is the manner in which Arata manifest Akio magic in the from of a dragon that is coiled around himself. It doesn't take long for it to be clear that they are in a bit of a dead lock. Arata will lose if she steals a kiss from him again but this is the only move she can take against him with Arata reinforcing his body with Mantra Enchantment. Then on the others side Arata isn't skilled enough to keep up with Liese speed since he is relying on Sora for detection. This remain true until Liese uses her trump card which can freeze time. That she stop time for everything except Arata so that she can tell him what she is going to do before she does it since she believe he can't stop her no-matter what he tries. However this allows him to fake her out by moving the seal from his hand to his tongue because he is expecting her to kiss him like she did before and she does.

That with his victory, she is no longer a demon lord also she is returning to the side of the Trinity Seven. It also seems like she didn't ever real wanted to harm any of them and it clear why Akio help him because they all wanted to save her, in the same way that he wants to save Hijiri. Further more with his victory over Liese it seems that she is beginning to fall for him. Although there is a bit of a problem since using her trump card prevents from returning to the normal flow of time. However she has enough strength to send Arata back. That this sets up the next episode where Arata is to be trained by Selina so that he can learn logos art which will allow him to return Liese to the normal flow of time. That one of the important point of this episode is that the reason behind the Trinity Seven is that they have reclaim the lost technique that associated with their brand of magic. The question is how are the lost arts related to Hijiri, and is there a deeper secret behind Hijiri's disappearance.

Madan no Ou to Vandasis - ep07

Now with things picking up from last time with Soyfa protecting Eleonora's retreat as Roland continues his pursuit. That with this fight Soyfa doesn't hesitate to use her dragon gear like Eleonora and it seems like doesn't doesn't really make a bit of difference. However her goal wasn't to defeat Roland but to buy time for the retreat and in doing so it allows for Mashas to join up with Tigre's forces which in turn causes Roland to stop his pursuit for now. That with the fight stop for now it give time for Tigre to be treated and Mashas time to tell his story of what he learned at the capital.

That it seems that the country is in a very poor situation consider the state the king is in. That the lost of the prince has reduce him to being a child playing with building block. That Ganelon and Thenardier are merely using his situation to their advantage. Which also means that they are responsible for sending Roland after Tigre. That it also seems that as Mashas was leaving the capital he was ambushed by assassins which Soyfa saved him from. Although it was unclear which actually sent them. This sets up for the ensuing clash in the future with Thenardier. While also preparing Eleonora to lead the charge against Roland in Tigre's absences.

Now was Eleonora return's to the battle field it turns out that Tigre has his own battle to fight as his bow is now leading him somewhere. That to get there he needs Titta's support in his weakened condition. This causes him to be guided to a temple that was hidden in the mist, which turns out to belong to Tir na fa the goddess of darkness and death. This might explain a bit of the truth about his bow but it also seems that the bow guide him here out of his desire for power. Tir Na Fa test him by forcing him to shoot Titta but the true intetions of the test was probable to see what Tigre was willing to sacrifice for power. That in the end his little trick was just enough to gain Tir Na Fa approval but now the issue is if he can make it his own. That with this gift he is now off to the battle field.

This returns to the battle itself as Eleonora and Soyfa are doing battle with Roland but even together they are not enough to defeat him. In the end he only stops when Tigre gains his attention, that he only stops to question Tigre's intentions. Although his response gets a neutral stance about Tigre's actions. That he may have invited the Zhcted in to protect his land by Thenardier is equally as wrong but it doesn't change his duty and what he came her for. Although in the end Tigre is able to defeat Roland with killing which results in his surrender. The question is what does his surrender mean, is he just going to look the other way considering his orders towards Tigre or is he going to now ally himself with Tigre in pursuit of the corruption that has made itself at home in the capital.

Amagi Brilliant Park - ep07

This time around we end up with a funner episode than last time. That now they are trying to bring in extra visitors using their pool, and combine this with having the elemental fairies put on a show. In a way it is amusing that Seiya had Izusu join them since she is one of the last people that I would pick for this type of job but at least she looks the part at the least. That in the beginning everything that they are doing feels too force. That it is ironic in a way that their show becomes much better when the real pirates show up from Maple Land.

That everyone thinks that this Iron-beard is all part of the show. Which ultimate leads to Brilliant Park loss with the people get imprisoned by that changes when Seiya makes his counterattack when Iron-beard is consumed with his victory. That to an extent it looks like he will fight to the bitter end, until Jaws is accidental fired from a cannon into the pool. That with the appearance the otters natural enemy they become quite obedient. Then with this everyone wins. Jaw gets to feel important, while Seiya gets the pirates to work for free by using the fear of sharks against them. Lastly the show was made into a big success. That in all of this if anyone can be declared a loser it is the pirates by you can't really feel sorry for them considering what they were trying to do. Then with this it brings us closer to Seiya's deadline with only a month remaining and still have quite a way still to go.

Hitsugi no Chaika Avenging Battle - ep06

Now it seems things are move toward a climactic battle between the various groups and all of this is converging on Stephan Hartgen's castle. It seems that he has taken a different direction that the others since he desire the holders of Gaz's remains to come to him instead of searching for the pieces himself. It also looks likely that Guy has been working for him all this time. Although the question is why does the Hartgen want to gather Gaz's remains when he is the most responsible for his death and dismemberment. It would make sense that Guy would know the location of the remains if he is being told the information by Hartgen. That in the end the tournament is only a means to an end to bait the Chaika to bring him there remains.

That what you also have is the collision of these forces that is going to happen in the tournament. Although the big question is what's the meaning behind Guy's statement that Chaika appointed tasks is finished before she has even got the pieces from Hartgen and the red Chaika. There is also the issue with Niva and why did she choose to go with guy, who is most likely going into Hartgen's castle. The question with this is did she follow guy because she was never loyal to Chaika to begin with or did she do it because it was the easiest why to complete Chaika's wish of collection Hartgen's piece. That only time will tell what Niva's goals are and even if she has any. Now the last issue is will the Chaika's remain enemies considering that Guy is now done with them. That is dubtful considering that the red Chaika is still unwilling to believe what Izhmash told them. Lastly is what part will Vivi play in all of this since she is a Chaika but not one and how will she fair when she faces Gillette.
