Log Horizon - ep13

This time around instead of focusing on Shiroe's contributions, the story instead emphasizes Crusty's action and his budding relationship with Lady Lenessia. Most of the episode revolves round how he is trying to get closer to her in an attempt to avoid socializing with the various lords at the conference. That in finding out how careful the are around here they will natural back off when Crusty is having a private conversation with her. Although his attempt to gain her trust also are hinting at a solution between the adventures and the people of the land. If Crusty can get her to trust him enough then he would have a reason to convince the king to appoint her as the people of the land's representative in Akihabara. What is would do is eliminated the need to appoint one of the guild leaders as a lord. Also it seems that it also grant Lady Lenessia what she desire most freedom or at least an escape from the constant paring eyes. However it seem that next episode we will get insight into the cause of the apocalypse that trap the adventures here as Shrioe and Akatsuki have deal with this mysterious mage named Regan.

Valvrave the Liberator - ep24

Now we have the final battle, as things start out it appears that the Magius are exposed for being what they are. This create a public opinion to began to turn against Dorssia and question if the attack on module 77 was just. Although this sets the stage for Cain coming in with unit-02 to destroy the satellite that Akira has hacked, resulting in cutting the live feed. This provide Magius the opportunity to provide a cover story to hide the truth. Although so do accept this cover story, there is still enough reasonable doubt to halt all action against the citizens of Module 77. This situation creates the prefect storm for the Loyalist to try and take back their country.

Then as civil war is taking place down below, the battle in space continues with Haruto jumping in to protect Akira after she is attack by Cain. Although it appears that he is fighting a losing battle even-though he is fairing better than he did last time against Cain. Then awhile later X-Eins and A-Deri join the fight because they want avenge their fallen comrade. Things get complicated when Q-Vier joins the fight, with the misguide believe that he is doing right by fighting traitors. Although in truth he just wants a good fight. This cause A-Deri to turn away from fight Cains to deal with Q-Vier, while X-Eins continues his pursuit after Cain knock Haruto through the roof of Module 77.

This leads to the moment where X-Eins sacrifices his life in the hopes of doing in Cains. Although his attack wasn't strong enough to do Cains in. Now while Haruto is out of the fight, L-elf approach the down Valvrave to get him to jack his body so that they will be able to fight Cain together by using Haruto's curse and L-elf's skill. However now that there fight on a more level playing field, Cain tries to manipulate Haruto psychological by stating how Magius are just by maintaining order between the to races by segregating them. Haruto see this as wrong because the Magius just gave up on co-existence.

This separation of ideological values leads to the conclusion of the fight where Cain is defeated and Plu is able to be reunited with his sister which was the real reason he was helping Cain to began with. Although to win the fight Haruto had to sacrifices all of his runes which is why L-elf gain control over his body after everything is over. This also has L-elf being only one to face Haruto with all of his memories lost. Which is difficult for L-elf being that Haruto was his first true friend, although it is unclear if Haruto just past-out from exhaustion or he die like Marie did after using up her ruins. It would have been better if he could start a new with everyone but the writes probably thought it would be more dramatic if he die. It likely that he is dead since we never see him in the future. Now things end with the past catching up with the future how they give a quick summery how Module 77 became the third super-power being on par with ARUS and Dorssia. This gives a potential of a sequel to Valvrave, to tell the story of how the nation was created after the final battle. However that is not very likely even if we would like to create a happy ending for Haruto assuming that he only lost his memories in the battle and not his life.

Unbreakable Machine-Doll - ep12

Now as the fight with Sin continues, they do a little flashback to when Raishin met Shoko to reveal the nature of his bet with her. The first part being something that we are already aware of Shoko leading Yaya to him so that he can kill his brother Tenzen. Although the other part of the bet is if he dies, then she will get to use his body to make a doll. This make not so much a bet as it is his contract with her to be able to use Yaya. Then as Shoko finish reflecting on their deal, she allow alludes to the reason that Yaya is so obsessed with Raishin. It seems that Yaya is consuming him little by little which is making her more attach to him as time goes on. This fact alludes to how Raishin might get his revenge in the end. However this is only a little side trip in the story.

That once Raishin Back-story is complete the battle with Sin continues. However things are going poorly for Raishin since even with Char help is isn't able to get an edge over sin. That is when he comes up with a plan to draw out Sin's puppeteer by using himself as bait by leaving himself open to be attack. Sin takes the bait which allow Yaya to catch him so that they can pin Sin down to have Char deal the final blow. However the real goal of the plan wasn't to destroy Sin but to draw out his puppeteer by exhausting Sin mana. Now with the master mind out in the open, they are force to make a tactical retreat. What is strange is the battle ends without a resolute conclusion, that nothing is truly resolved.

Now with the battle finished and Raishin back in his hospital bed, they leads us to a certain degree of closure by revealing Char and Henri's fate. It seems the some mysterious girl that goes to this school pulled some strings with her father to get the government to use Below's families frozen assets to pay for the damage that Char cause and to drop all charges against her. Then with the issue with Henri, with it being that her records her falsified she can't stay her anymore. That is where Kimberley steps in and makes Henri her maid, this gives Henri a reason to be able to remain her at the school with her sister. While also gives Henri unofficial protection by Nectar in having her being Kimberley's assistant. Now Char is safe from ever having her sister ever being used against her again, with everything being resolved it bring the first season to a close. Although they now have a nice foundation for the second season, the question is how long will it be until the series makes it's return.

Log Horizon - ep12

It seems that there is no rush to get to the heart of the matter. The King is still feeling them out, and to get them socializing he advice them to join the party. However of those that came none of them are really the dancing type. This leads to Crusty having a bit of fun with Shiroe by volunteering him, but Shiroe is against because it is clear that Crusty would be a better choice. Although in the end Shiroe is save by Henrietta because she can have him follow her lead. Things end well that night but Shiroe has built up some resentment from Akatsuki, either because he didn't dance with her or the children treated her like a child.

The next day there is a bit of focus on their impact on the world. First there is the issue of there cooking method has spread to the people of the land. This also helps define the main purpose of the ball last night was to put the king's citizen at ease about them. Now the real issue is that since the apocalypse happen people have stop taking quest, so there is a real need to stabilize the relationship. Although the problem lies in the fact that the people of the land need them but they see the Adventures have change the status qua. However they will not be able to come out and say that they need them. Then on top of this there is a chance that in the future this lords will approach the individual guilds, and the round table will not be able to police them all. That for better or worse they will need to come to an agreement here or there is a chance that failure to do so will adversely affect Akihabara, and it wouldn't be so easy to fix next time.

Infinite Stratos S2 - ep12

Things start out with Ichika crumpled over from receiving a blast from Madoka, and she leaves him there to go after her real target believing that he is dead. This leads to the development of Phantom Task dividing their forces across many fronts. First with majority of everyone trap on a runaway train with no way to give support to the others. Then there is Tatenashi which is being hold down by Phantom Task's leader prevent her from also proving support, although it is through this engagement that Tatanashi is able to learn that there has been a bomb planted on the train and is able to alert her sister of it's presence. During everything the greatest threat is Autumn holding down Houki and Cecilia.

Although Ichika isn't out of the picture just yet, it just took him awhile to get up on his feet to pursue Madoka. However he is able to arrive just in time to block her assault on the train in her attempt to kill Chifuyu. Things start to turn around when Kanzaki is able take a bit of control over the train, thus allowing Luara, Rin, and Char to go after the bomb. Then this is follow up by Houki's party overcoming Autumn but it unclear if they were able to kill the crude woman or they just put her out of action. This lead the action to return focus on Ichika, which seems like is go alright because he is able to hold her off. It just that he need back up, although that status qua is destroyed when he looks a way when he hear an explosion in the direction of the train. Then with him distracted Madoka waste no time in strike him down once more.

Things reach the end when Houki goes after the fallen Ichika, while everyone else converges on Madoka. Then things get much worse when the leader of Phantom Task joins in, however her smugness doesn't last long when she is shot by Tatenashi breaking through her defense. Then having this assault being follow up by Ichika taking out Madoka. This doesn't defeat the two remaining members of Phantom Task but it is enough to force them to retreat. Things conclude with everyone taking a bath after their tiring day, which end in an unfortunate way for Ichika with him getting into the wrong bath because the Inn switch the sign after he got in. That this ends the season but their might be some OVA's to extend the life of the season for a little bit long like what we got with the previous season. Although it seem there are plans for a third season with nothing really getting resolved in the end.

Valvrave the Liberator - ep23

Now with everyone reunited, things don't turn into a happy reunion as the other are being attack. Although with the return of Yukino, the outside threat is eliminated. However the others that are being lead by Shoko are still being ungrateful because they are still be control by their fear. Which makes things difficult for Haruto since he was going to unveil the truth and reveal everything. This important to him since he doesn't believe he will return, and even if he does there no assurance that he will be the same person that loves her now. That they may have a unrequited love because the Valvrave is devouring his memories, that there is little hope that he will return once the L-elf plan is finished.

Now speaking of L-elf, he is infiltrating Dorssia ranks by using the disguise of an injured pilot which leads to a run in with his on comrades. Which it turns out with H-neun's death has leaded to lack of faith in their government, that has leaded to the uniting of the interest to take back their country from these monsters. Which will end with using the enemies trick against them, and with the worlds trust in the leaders shattered. This will provide Haruto an audience that is will to listen to the truth. Although they don't quite reach that point just yet because most of the episode revolve round Haruto's team needing to take over a communication point to prevent them from turning the signal off.

That on Haruto's end, that battle gets started with him using the Harikiri blade. Then shortly into the battle, Yukino is left behind again because they are not making enough progress forward that they need to. Then with her staying behind, this allows for Haruto to cut a path to their object. Then once they are there is is Akira's job to hack into it while Thunder protects her. This ultimately leads to another one of their comrades falling in battle but the nature of his death is similar but different than Inuzuka's. Which is interesting because the both became Valvrave pilots in the same battle. That in the end he didn't want to live forever, he just wanted to kill as many enemies as possible before his time came so that he could have his revenge. Although with his sacrifice the stage is set for taking back their home, and revealing to the world that the real enemy might be closer than they think. It appears that things might end next episode with a rematch between Haruto and Cain.

Unbreakable Machine-Doll - ep11

Things continue for from where we last left Raishin, where he is on the verge of doing battle with the evil butler. Although things don't go very well for Raishin, that in the end if it wasn't for the appearance of Loki and Frey he would have died. However in his failure to resolve things, he decides go about thing differently by confronting Char. In doing this Raishin leaves Henri with Frey, while also asking to borrow one of her dogs to help him find her. Also while leaving he is confronted by Shoko who is angered by what he is doing, and is further irritated by Yaya's defying her order in favor of following Raishin's wishes.

This leads to the confrontation between Raishin and Char, how he is trying to convince her that she is fighting the wrong person. That even if she did succeed in killing Edward Rutherford and her sister was freed, there would be no hope of ever restoring her family. Although Char has given up all hope for achieving that dream because the enemy is beyond her reach. This leads to Raishin making his point that she should have relied upon him and ask for help. Then when Char comes to terms with accepting Raishin's help, the butler appears. Then the fight begins a new, however this time against a common enemy. Things end just as they start with Sin revealing a key fact about himself, that he doesn't need a puppeteer because he is a machine-doll. While ban-dolls are dolls made from human parts, it seems that Machine-dolls are the opposite. That they are a human that been turn it a doll, so Sin is a puppeteer that's been turn into a puppet. Against this sort of enemy how will Raishin and Char win.

Log Horizon - ep11

It seems now they are being confronted by the people of the land. The land that Akihabara is on belong to Eastal, and these countries have divided what we know as Japan. Although their request of meeting with the Round-Table comes at a bad time because they were planning a training camp to help the low level players level up. That to decide this they have to have a meeting to decide who is going to go. Although this isn't very difficult but it is overall more amusing. First you have Marie is trying to get out of it because the training camp is her excuse to go to the beach because otherwise she would be stuck in Akihabara dealing with the council. Then the trade guilds are trying to get out of going because they each have their own little project that they don't want to be away from. Which they resolve this with rock-paper-scissors, which Roderic ends up losing. Then Shiroe is force to go because he is the most adept at dealing with politic because he is the one that from the council in the first place.

It appears that things are going to revolve around how they choose to co-exist with the people of the land. Although Shiroe see this is a vital opportunity to gather information on them because the NPC have drastically changed since they have been trapped here. It seems that the people of the land are also seeking to gain information on the adventures. Now there is also the issue of Lord Sergiatte giving out title to the adventures. This would also prove to be problematic because it would cause them to be involved with Eastal politics. However it seems that Shiroe doesn't believe it is possible that they would go to war, and even if they did he doesn't think it possible for the people of the land to win against them. The greatest issue the question of what are the rules of fighting in town will be since the people of the land aren't players. It is possible that the adventures will not be able to fight the people of the land within the towns. This would prove to be a problem if they can't come to an agreement. The real question is what the people of the land want from them.

Infinite Stratos S2 - ep11

Now they throw in another filler episode after Cecilia's cooking episode. Although this episode purpose was to set the stage for the return of Phantom Task. While the end of last episode alluded to their return. Throughout the episode each of the girls have a little time with Ichika, the first one being Tatenashi mailing herself to Ichika's hotel. In some ways it a tribute to the last season with Tatebane appearing out of a carrot that she launch down from space. However Kanzaki is quick about stuffing her back inside to send her away.

Then things get complicated with all the girls wanting Ichika to take their picture, so much so that he should be pay by the school to be the field trips photographer. In trying to get away from them, Ichika end up running into Charlotte. This eventaully leads them to meet up with the other at a shirne, but he has to run from them when he says something insensitive. Which leads to him running into Kanzaki dress in a kimono, but they catch him comleting her which start the chase a new until he runs into Houki. Where he is force to buy them some sweet to get their forgiveness, eventhough Ichika doesn't know what he has done wrong.

This leads to the arrive of Phantom Task, when the are preparing to head to the hotel. However Ichika has to go back for his camera that he dropped. Then since it is taking awhile Houki and Cecilia go looking for them. Although at this moment he is being confronted by Madoka, while Autum has appeared to prevent Houki and Cecilia from giving him support. Then at the same time everyone is trapped on the train. It seems that he is going to have to fight on his own until he can get support. One thing is for certain that the next episode is going to return to the action. Also we might be able to get down to the truth about Madoka and why Ichika doesn't know her but others close to him do.

Valvrave the Liberator - ep22

Now with everyone reaching rock bottom, the secret that they all were holding are being revealed. First you have Haruto's secret of his sacrifice for Shoko as it is revealed to her through Pino. This leads her to feeling regretful for selling Haruto down the river. Then you have A-deri finding out the truth about why L-elf shot him in the first place. That in the end his failure was that he couldn't trust L-elf in the end, This leads to him freeing Rukino, where so can rejoin with the others now that she has her unit back. Although the greatest secret that is the one that Haruto and L-elf has been keeping from each other. This moment is important because most of the episode revolves around their time trap on the moon.

L-elf revealed his secret that Haruto kill Shoko's father, when he gets irritated that he is still trying after everything that has just happened. That L-elf wants him to accept everything is over and give up like he has. Then in his rage and blaming L-elf for everything that happen, he reveals the truth about Lieselotte was Magius. This leads him into believing for a time that she was tricking him this entire time. However after think back about her action, he realize that she was being imprisoned. Also this truth gives something for him to hold on to, that he owes it to her the realize her dream of a world where both races can live together in peace. Then together they light the flare, which turn into a gamble because anyone can see it. First it looks like Dorssia has them but in the end Rukino saves them, after being gone for such a long time. Now it looks like everyone is going to gather together for the final battle, it should be interesting how things are going to end since Haruto is on his last leg. Although will this coming battle really be the conclusion or is just the point of a new beginning.

Unbreakable Machine-Doll - ep10

Now with Raishin and Henri trapped down below because of Char attack on Edward Rutherford. However it turns out to be a good opportunity for Raishin because Henri has no where to run and currently the safest place is by Raishin's side. Then when another collapse happens Henri get injured preventing them from traveling any further. Now with nothing else to do but wait, Henri starts talking about her sister. Then before too long they are interrupted by Rutherford's bodyguard Magnus.

This is the start of a very uncomfortable time for Raishin, which leads to him getting up a leaving so that he can get some distance from Magnus. Then Henri follows after and in his irritation he tells her why he came here in the first place. That his goal is to kill Magnus because he killed his entire family. Raishin wants her to keep quite about it because this is something that even he hasn't told Char about. Then it isn't long after that Raishin gets attack by some strange butler, but he is only save by the arrival of the rescue party. Which leads to his reunion with Yaya but it seems like Henri wants to say something to Raishin although she can't because of Yaya imposing presence.

Things get difficult for Raishin because Yaya wants to remove his pants, while he wants to have a serious conversation about Char and Henri. This leads to him revealing to fact that he has a finance, so he would do anything like what she is thinking about. That he never told her because he was afraid she would kill him. That the only thing that saves him is his omission to that fact that he is going to marry her because it was something his parents decide and the fact he has no obligation anymore because his clan is gone. However this is going to cause problems in the future because Frey overheard the part about him having a finance but not the rest. Then there is the fact that Char could have hear Frey talking about to her self when she was flying overhead, and if she did it will be interesting to see the impact it has.

Although after Yaya calms down, Raishin goes about executing his plan to draw out his enemy. That from his interaction with Henri, he realize that she has been trying to kill herself for the sake of her sister. That as long as she is around, Char will never be free. That Raishin intends to use this against them to draw them into the open by kidnapping Henri. Now with the return of the butler, Raishin will be able to get to the bottom of things. However it's doubtful that it's going to be that simple since they have to make this conflict last for one more episode after this since they are staying true to form that they established with each arc being four episodes long. It seems that they will not be doing a rush ending, but setting it up so that they can continue it at a later date.
